Quite the opposite.......friends of mine witnessed shit like this when I was in college......the Pikes had a tradition of making pledge classes kill a kitten with their bare hands.........

Golfers slice off duck's head

FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan -- Two men have been sentenced to 30 days in jail and two months in boot camp for beheading a duck with a golf club.

"Every time we think we see it all, we're shocked," Circuit Judge Barry Howard said this week. "This defenceless animal was killed and there is no rhyme or reason for it. Anyone who could do this could easily escalate such acts to people."

Bradley Woons, 23, and Michael Prasher, 22, were also given three years' probation and ordered to undergo mental health treatment and perform 100 hours of community service at an animal shelter.

After playing golf on September 1, the men used crumbs to lure a duck from a pond.

Woons grabbed the bird and held it while Prasher used a nine-iron to slice off its head.

They pleaded guilty to maliciously killing an animal and could have gotten
five years in prison.

``We have tons of profiles on serial killers and most start out killing
animals,'' prosecutor Joseph A. Lavigne said. ``We want to nip that in the
bud.''
