DIVISION said:I don't like the form that powerlifters use, it's just not structurally sound, makes for alot of injuries and strain from overcompensation.
Looks like it slipped out of his hands....like how the crowd was cheering in the beginning.....ironic...

crew9 said:I disagree. The goal of powerlifting is to life the most weight possible. You can not do this if you're constantly being injured. Seeing as a slight mistake could cost them their lives I'd be willing to be that powerlifters are far stricter with form than you'd think.
DIVISION said:That was my point, CrewCutter......
I DON'T LIKE THEIR FORM....the arched back bow that they use for leverage.
It's not good for the back in general, and the momentum that is used in the lifts is not good for the muscles, ligaments, tendons etc.
I'm more impressed with people that can lift heavy with slow negatives than those using momentum to lift heavy.

crew9 said:Momentum? They have to pause at the bottom until signaled to go?
DIVISION said:I've seen powerlifters bounce the weight, they use rubbershirts.......
C'mon CrewCut......don't front.

crew9 said:Some feds are definitely a bit loose on how they abide by the rules. I'm sure you're right there are plenty of powerlifters using bad form, but not all.![]()
DIVISION said:on a side note: explain to me why you like the cat w/ the melonhead.
Any reason or simply because it humors you?
