This dude in my office just told me...

his bloodwork came back and his "liver enzymes were fifty over". he said that is real bad, and he said he was afraid he had something very wrong like cancer or something.

Does anyone know what 50 over means as far as liver enzymes?

He is having additional tests run on Monday the 8th of December.

He doesn't use anything as far as juice goes BTW. He is like 6'2" and 180 - pretty damn skinny, but he drinks beer and smokes.

tell him to get on some tylers and all the other crap.

I told him, but he is like "milk thistle" wont help cancer, what if I have cancer"...

I told him to quit crying, and I tried to reassure him it would be okay...but man he is tripping and since I never heard this term"50 over" I thought I would ask...

Your liver starts producing enzymes to heal itself. An over production above a certain base level is cause for further testing. It may just be a minor issue related to toxins related to alchohol and smoking which can be treated through something like Tylers Liver Aid, Liv2 or Milk Thistle.

Plus smack him upside the head for smoking.

he needs to stop taking whatever he is taking and hope his liver is resiliant and can repair itself.

I don't have any evidence that smoking is bad but I think that it is because I have read about 1000 studies that say it causes cancer and is addictive. But until we have real evidence I don't think we will ever know
