even if its just a whisper on a message board
My step father passed away this afternoon..after an apparent stroke while driving
he had the presence to just barely pull over..my mother was in the car with him
shes grateful she was there...and he squeezed her hand as she told him she loved him and he slipped away
Im not sharing this for karma, or for..condolences (though theyre welcome)
Im sharing it because I don't have another appropriate place to
because he should be remembered and thought of, and someone should make reflect on their own life
he was the most encouraging person I ever met
he made incredible huge pieces of stained glass art
he would lend anyone a hand
he always treated my children like his grand children
he had emphysema..and yes, he smoked for ten years and quit before his diagnoses
he likely contracted the most severe damage to his lungs when he was working at a burn plant...trying to make ends meet raising his two young sons
asbestos was often sent through the furnaces
he was 60 yrs old and a beautiful soul
