This could very well be The Greatest Concert of All Time.

How much are the tix?

I went to the first Coachella, saw RATM and Tool, great show. It was $50 then, I'll assume its more than that now. Plus Coachella is like a 3 hour drive from L.A.

I like many of the bands playing, however they are all playing mixed nights. Not enough on the same night to justify the spendature, although the Pixies reuniting is a pretty worthy event.

The fact that the Pixies have reunited is reason enough to see this show.

Yes, it is.

Last time FB & the Catholics played at my club, Frank/Charles told me a Pixies reunion in 2004 was probable. Oh, and Jay Farrar says that a Son Volt tour and new album may be in the works too.

I can remember going to concerts in the 70's and 80's and the ticket prices were $6.00.

The first concert I went to was in 78 at Giants Stadium in NJ. I saw Boston, The Outlaws, Todd Rundgren and Utopia and Poco.

Like an original Monsters of Rock concert. I cannot remember the prices.

My first was Elton John with festival seating. Line up at the gates and when they opened...run like hell. Loudest concert I have ever been to was KISS around 78-79. $12.00 tickets. Gene Simmons was hooked to cables and flew through the Coliseum wagging his tongue. I really went to that concert for the show. It was great but left almost deaf.

I saw Kiss in 96. I was so tired, I fell asleep. I have no idea how, it was so freaking loud!!!

I woke up to my then GF giving me mouth to mouth, she thought I passed out.

I was more pissed that she woke me up.

heh

Coachella last year was pretty damn sweet. Some damn good shiot there. Also some overhyped crap, but that's how the cookie crumbles. A lot of big acts though. Pixies....sweeeeet.

Wow. A lot of great bands in that lineup, a few shitty ones too but hey.

It would be awesome to see the Pixies back together. Throw in Sonic Youth and it would be a dream concert.
