While it's true that fakes with the same batch #s may often saturate parts of the market making that # a red flag, don't you think that counterfeiters are smart enough to use numbers copied from a real batch? You could have two # 252236 amps, one fake one real.

You know even several weeks down the line, I wouldn't necessarily trust an opininion of how good one product is, when it is stacked with so much else!

Dude, scroll up there and read my post. You can have two identical amps, same batch number, one real and one fake. Saying that you mistakenly omitted the fact that you had your shit tested sounds pretty sketchy in itself - especially in light of the wording of your first post. You sound sincere. Understand that your first post was sketchy. This was the reason for the questioning attitudes of the other posters - including myself. Before you resort to name calling (and I admit I did that a bit myself with the "Chipper" remark) try to restate your point in a way that facilitates better understanding of your point of view.


That being said, lets get back on track with some useful debate. What makes you think that a counterfeiter couldn't simply use legit batch numbers when cranking out a fake batch? IMO, batch numbers are almost useless for identifing fakes. Granted, a market spike of a specific batch number turrning up fake can be a red flag to avoid the batch number.
