Thinking of getting 1st tattoo-need help

Don't have any tattoos, but I was thinking of getting one of my daughers name possible w/her birth date written smaller below. Not sure how/or where I would do it though. Possibly on the center upper back in black writing. Anyone have any suggestions?

Bro, be original, get your daughters name in the front, the background should be a tazmanian devil with his mouth really wide where your daughters name should reside, in back of that get a dark green outline of a confederate flag with bullet holes in it along with a tribal band to top it off, no one has that shit. My suggestion, is simply, don't do it! But, if you must, make sure it is in a place that can be easily concealed for professional reasons. Also, take some time to decide & look at a lot of different tattoo books & shops to make sure it is exactly what you want. I was one of the first of my friends to get a tattoo when we were teens, now I've got a couple stupid ass ones on my outer shoulders & 1 decent one on my back. One of my other friends was just learning to be a tattoo artist & I was dumb enough to let him practice on me at 16. Now, the only real option I have is to pay to have them covered up with something that I like. Removal is expensive, sometimes ineffective & leaves scars. If I had my choice, I'd just be ink free.

I would get it on my bicep instead. At least you can see the tattoo. Getting it on your back, you won't be able to see it at all. It should be for you to view and enjoy as well as others.

Get it on your back in big 12 inch block letters! Better yet...get a set of christmas lights and have those sewn into you skin to read out her name along with on of those small batteries. You'll be the twinkle of her eye for ever.

i like the idea of getting a tattoo but you gotta get something that you know you wont get tired of.....it took me 2 years to finally ok the art i got on the inside of my bicep....

For those of you that say get it where everyone can see it. When was the last time you saw the management in your company with a big bicep tattoo or something written on his neck? It's not a good idea to get it in an obvious place unless you have just given up & think you will never get any farther than where you are. Is it discrimination, yeah maybe but, does it happen, yes definately. Get it in a place where you can show it off only when you want to show it off.
