thinking about cont.. my bulking

i have been bulking for 2 months now and have seen good gains. im at 9%bf and have gained 13lbs. i dont know what my bf was before but i would guess 6. i am thinking about maybe prolonging the bulking time untill as late as march or april, then cut till sept (so i will enter soph year of college looking good). But im worried because i think 9% may be too high to start from. does anyone see a problem of going possibly as high as 20% before i cut where i would want to be 4-6% by sept. is there drawbacks to going that high for a period of time (health drawbacks, maybe even loose skin after the loss) or will giving myself 5,6months to lose the weight be fine.? thanks
 
well, the fat you put on now will be easier to burn off then old fat you have carried for a long time. I wouldn't be to worried about it. The only thing i can say is when you start to lose your abs, then it might be time to start cutting down again.

i think 20% is a lil too high
you can gain without getting extreamly fat
 
why should i start cutting if i lose the abs? wouldnt it be best to cut for 6months slow to lose the weight, after i have constantly bulked for 20+ weeks....rather then focus only on how well my abs show right now.

ya maybe your right...if i bulked for 2 months with only a 3% gain in bf i could do a 5month and maybe end up at like 15,18% eating very clean like i have been. but i dont like the idea of cutting everytime i get worried about my abs (i know they are there, and i will give my self plenty of time to cut)
 
yea man you sound pretty lean...9%bf after bulking for 20 weeks?!?! I dont think you could reach 20% if you lived on ice cream and candy bars!! Im jealous
 
no i reached 9% after 8 weeks of bulking. i ate very clean. no i dont have a metabolism thats anything special. i actually used to be fat, i was tested at 29% one time and i got even fatter then that at a point.
