Things that make your day

Yesterday JerseyArt sent me a dozen long-stemmed roses in a pretty vase and a gift basket full of my favourite snacks... The delivery guy from the flower place came to deliver them shortly before 5:30 yesterday. It was such a beautiful surprise and gesture - it made my day...actually it made my week.

What are some things that you have done or that have happened that have made your day, week, month...?

My best friend and his wife just recently had there first baby. That makes me smile

The ATL meet-up. It was nice to see strangers get together and have a great time and leave as friends. It also was the first trip I did alone in a few years. Looking forward to taking more trips and attending more meet-ups.

A day when me and my buddies get together and have a nice chill session just talking and shit, having a few a laughs...yeah, that's the kinda of stuff I live for. I love just having deep conversations with people because it's very enlightening.

When I was on leave back in April I was stopped at a red light. Two little girls ran up along the sidewalk to my car, looked at the front license plate [USMC], waved to get my attention, saluted me, and ran back to the house. Made the bullshit seem worth it that day.
