They already know

Today is the day I have to take my dogs to the groomer and they already know something is up without me doing or saying anything. They are curled up on the sofa eyeing me, and everywhere I go. :worried:

Damn, they are better at guilt trips than little children. :(

Awwwhhh that might be the cutest thing I'll hear all day. :rose:

Would you take them to the groomer for me? ;)

Just remember to hold the little one facing away from you when you pick her up, she tends to get nervous easy. :worried:

LOL!!!

Glad I never had that problem...my dogs were always glad to go anywhere as long as it meant a ride in the truck :D

Moose loved the groomers (and they loved him too lol). He was always on his best behavior @ the groomers....save for that one time he got a little too excited to be there and decided that was a good time to try to throw a little :tuc: to Punkin'

She didn't appreciate that very much, and she let him know. All Moose wanted was a lil' luvin', but all he got was a lil' attitude adjustment instead. ;)

As SOON as they got home, Moose would immediately run around the house, rubbing his chin all over the floor and the sofa's/love seats, grunting and "a-wooo-woo-wooooo"-ing gleefully. (Those were his happy noises)

Punkin' would just plop her fat booty down in front of you demanding you pet her, all the while giving you that "look how pretty I am now!" look.

Sorry to ramble on like that, just reminiscing some happier times.

*sigh*

Dogs Rule. :)

Oh they're ok once they get there, but they get nervous on the way. Mine do the same thing when they get home, brushing up against the furniture, then they will grab their stuffed toys and play for a bit before passing out. :nighty:

But it is too quite without them here. :(

My cat Alice, now deceased, could always tell the difference between when I was reaching to pet her, and when I was reaching to snag her and cram her into the cat carrier for a trip to the vet's. I couldn't fool her. And after the first failed attempt, she'd damned well sure make it difficult to find her for a second try.

The same went for when I had to try to snag her to give her a drop of flea repellent behind her neck. Sometimes it would take me DAYS to administer her monthly dose of Bayer Advantage.

lmao, awww, poor doggies

I'm always afraid that groomers drug the dogs to calm them down. Luckily I just wash mine myself and he's a lab and doesn't need trimmed. Have you ever heard of or encounterd this? "Doggie Downers" :worried:

I've never encountered that, but the lady who grooms them does it out of her house. It wouldn't surprise me if some places did use drugs, that's why I'm very particular about the places I take them.

I am animal lover myself.. they make you happy eventhough you are in your

miserable mood. ;) Love-Love-Love animals ..who needs guys i'll just get myself

a puppy ( laughs I am Kidding but yet no..ha ha)

Well I worked at a pet store once witha groomer there. They only asked for permission to use a sedative. Also, they always put muzzles on the dogs. Those groomers can be really mean to the dogs. Maybe thats why they didnt like going. The shears scare the dogs too.

I love when the dog gets groomed! They smell so good when you get them back and you don't have to battle with them through nail clippings.
