I was just watching the local news and my blood is still boiling because of what protesters did in Olympia. A large group of ignorant people, a lot of them wearing ski masks and bandanas over their faces (chicken shits) showed up at the port to protest a shipment of military supplies going to the Middle East for US troops. They tore up the fences and threw things at the ship Those are OUR TROOPS over there and they are protesting the delivery of supplies that OUR TROOPS need??? How the hell is that going to be effective? What kind of message does that send? "We hate this war and that means our troops (US citizens) should be cut off from all supplies." ????? WTF?? Go protest at the Capitol Building for crying out loud!

Yes, I am aware that it is their right to protest, but it is my right to get pissed off!

I agree that our alleged reasoning for going to war is wrong. But I do believe that taking Sadam out of power and destroying his remaining loyals was/is necessary. It would have been better if Bush just flat out said that Sadam is a genocidal asshole who needs to be stopped. But the fact remains that it wasn't Bush who claimed there were WMDs over there. Bush made the decision based on evidence collected in the field. And it's not like Bush woke up one day and said "I'm gonna fuck with Sadam." Even if Kerry had been president this past/present term, I can almost guarantee that the same events would have occured. So if you want to bash someone, bash the CIA for collecting "poor" evidence or what have you. And as far as those protesters are concerned, yeah, we have the right to peaceful protesting. But if they start to interfere and cause trouble, then they also have the right to be beaten down and arrested. So fuck them.
