Giving out millions to victim's families is bad enough. This is ridiculous. what they may gain in dollars, they'll lose in credibility later on, and take a net financial loss.

Ok...Since you really want to know. I'm just going to stick to the facts. No feelings. No made-up rules. No taking of sides.
On average, for the same job, women make $.80 to the $1.00. For example, a classified listing for an Ad Exec lists salary range of $80k to $100k. So, statistically, if a woman gets the job, she gets paid 80k annually. If a man gets the job, he gets paid 100k. This will not be the case in all work places, because after all it is just an average. But trust me, I have seen it done. Man#1 and Woman#1 do the same job. In fact, man#1 is always asking woman#1's help to get his job done. Man#1 gets paid alot more because he is a male, and the breadwinner for his family. Woman#1 is single but struggling to pay her bills.

It's just a bunch of opportunists trying to get their hand on the almighty buck. Their organization really has nothing to do with the 9/11 disaster or the relief funds (I think Matt said it best)... I think this group of women should be dragged onto the street and hit in the heads with tack hammers because they are RETARDS!

If your a single woman struggling to pay your bills at 80k a year than you obviously should be earning less than your male counterpart..Anyone whos single and cannot afford to live on 50k a year by themselves is foolish. I live in the highest cost of living area in the US and 80k is alot..Most families here dont even make that combined.I know this was all off topic but Im basing it on a single woman struggling to pay her bills at 80k a year...

Can someone post the custody award percentages of divorce trials? I was also wondering about the % of women paying alimony?
The highest paid employee here is a woman. She makes the most.. but does not have the higest title. This is politics. Men are getting taken up the old highway.

Oh..sorry, that was kinda confusing..It was supposed to be 2 different examples. The first one was just saying if a male and a female applied for the same job, the woman would get paid the lesser amount.
The 2nd example about man#1 making more than man#2, that was a real life example that I know about. That was not 100k vs 80k, that was 50k versus 27k.

Man, you are quite naive. I work in a pretty high paying profession and am only 26 years old. There is a lot more in getting a certain salary in the workforce than just getting an offer with a salary after a good interview. This is just business. EVERY employer will try to low ball you. It's just accepted business practice. If you have enough social skill and finese you will be able to negotiate a much higher salary then offered. If you are a more timid individual you will not negotiate due to lack of sufficient skill to do so and end up with a lower salary to do the same job. Now it's a fact the women in the workforce and more easily intimidated and are more timid then men. It's a difference in psychology. When a man fails he blames it on others and moves on, when a woman fails she sees herself as a failure thus causing less self estem, lower confidence and lower self worth.
It's all in the negotiating process that is a part of business. This is also why corporations have a policy the workers can not under any circumstances discuss their salaries, doing so can mean instant dismissal.

We all know that textbook info is not completely dependable but Furious was asking about the origin of the whole idea of the whole women make less than men controversy, and that's where that comes from.
