These are not Pimples or zits, these are lumps!

I repeat, as much as you wish to and as tempting as it is, do not stick a needle in them and try not to squeeze them... You will be left with scars. I have suffered from that type of acne since the age of 15 and I am now in my 30's. Allow your body to heal itself and fight them from the inside. For the beginning an antibiotic will help but then your body will not respond anymore so that's just a temporary solution. From what you have said, you will need to get accutane which a dermatologist will give you a script for.>>>

Thanks.. I tried to get Accutane, but I really regulated... On the neddles and the scars, I am not to worried about... My back is pretty frekled, so it kinds of camoflage it. So far, yes I have some red spots, but nothing serious. Needling for me has work. Albeit, with insulin type, and proper sterilization procedures. Consequential, that what a dermatologist will do if it has to drain it.

I am not tryint to go against you. Bro, I thank you for your reply. I am just shedding some expiriences.

To conclude this thread, I have to say that this problem with cystic acne, really fort worst while I was tryin the BODY OPUS diet by Dan Duchaine (a Ketogenic diet). This days consist of ZERO CARBS, High Fat and protein. I was eating alot of fat, and whiel I lost weight without compromising my strengh, the acne on the back got worst.

I have resume a regular diet, and the cystic Acnes have dimishis considerably.

My two cents!

when you pop them, does it look like this? if so, armidex will not help.

Just go see a derm. I have been through that whole dilemma and suffered for a year or so before going to the accutane. I had cystic acne so bad leaning back in a chair was painful my undershirts were spotted with blood almost everyday. I picked, poked, and popped, mine all the time. I went to the Dr got some accutane was on it for about 4-6 mos I cant really remember. Anyway its been 2 years since and I am still acne free. Oh I am also on HRT.

Thanks for the post. COnsidering that you are also on HRT, what side effect you got from ACCUTANE? My reading indicates is pretty harsh.... Depression, lethargy, weakness, and the like... LEt me know, ThankS!

I had cystic acne bad while cycling..it is a much more stubborn variety than regular acne..basically like boils all over the place..I went the insulin needle route and had an esthetician friend of mine lance them and apply every high end OTC thing in the book to them. The only thing that ever did was give me permanent pitting on my back. After going to a well known dermatologist in my area, he shook his head when I told him how I had been treating it. He said monitored accutane is the solution for that type of "bacne". He also had a nurse rub a "Dry-Ice" cup all over my back to reduce the swelling. If I ever experienced Bacne that bad again...I'de go straight for the accutane...

While cycling, who accutune affected your cycle? Did it give you mood swings? Lethargy, etc?
