I sure can't argue with you about a point of useable strength tapering off. I've yet to come close to that point and rarely try to set limits for myself. My body does that on it's own without me helping it. My personal bests have been 385 bench,505 dl,and 525 squat at around 185 bw(with belts and kneewraps,but no dl suit or bench shirts) Certainly nothing to brag about when compared to guys that have been powerlifting a reasonable amount of time. So i'm still street legal for sure
I can say i sure wouldn't mind hitting 400 bench, and 600 dl and squat. The trade-off in a little quickness and endurance for the added power would be worth it for me(and it would put my lifts past Jill Mills at least,she is unbelieveable).
