The year-long SARMs/Beast/Katana mega log.

Okay, folks. I was going to wait to post this after getting several months into it, but I'm having such great results, I thought I'd say "hell with it" and just post it up now and keep you guys updated on my progress as I'm going through with it.

I'll preface this log with just some background on myself. I'm 31 years old, 6'0" tall, and currently 220 lbs. I have been lifting for roughly 12 years now, and I've cycled AAS and PH's several times in the past throughout those 12 years. At my largest, I was about 255 (unknown b/f, but fairly lean, mid-low teens), and I've fluctuated over the years just due to life "happening" and being unable to go to the gym, unable to maintain my diet, and otherwise causing loss of size and strength. I was 240 a few months ago, but I've been chiseling down over the last few months and have now whittled myself to a lean, 220 lbs. with a single-digit bf%. Until I found MRSupps' products, I had not touched any bodybuilding supplements for roughly 6-7 years. I jumped back into the game with Dieselbolan 2.0, which took me from 230 to 255 (not all of it was clean). I was happy with the product, so I thought I'd do a Katanadrol cutter, which helped me whittle down to about 225 lbs.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I'm a firm believer in "homeostasis", in the sense that our bodies only want to be a certain weight/mass because that is what it is "set" to be. Whether you believe in any of his concepts/principles or not, T-Nation's Christian Thibaudeau discussed in one of his online articles about "tricking" your body into setting it's "mass homeostasis" to a higher level. I'll explain my situation to better clarify. When I started lifting, I was 155 lbs. Over the years, I've built up my physique, and now, "155" is no longer the "norm" for my body. Throughout the years, no matter how little I lifted, or how poorly I dieted, my body always would hover around the 225-235 range. I could eat like total crap, or I could starve myself, and my weight would not deviate from that range. This is my body's current "homeostasis".

As far as my personal goals, I would love to be as lean as I am (or leaner), and be a solid 240 lbs. I would like to "trick" my body into accepting a lean 240 (single-digit b/f%) as my new "norm". Again, this is all hypothetical, so you can criticize it or shoot it down all you want - I don't really care.

So here we are. I actually did not plan it this way necessarily, but with my planned "multi-cycle", it will be roughly a year long. Again, you can criticize this all you want, but I don't care. I've cycled enough compounds in my life that I know how my body responds and I've cycled compounds for extended periods and I'm aware of what I'm doing.

Anyway, here goes. Before laying it out, I'll explain that I have everything on-hand, and in some areas, I'm "experimenting". What I mean is I'm currently starting my 4th week on SARMs, and although I'm a firm believer in using "support" supplements, for the sake of seeing how my own body reacts to it, I'm running the SARMs completely by themselves. I'll elaborate in my cycle layout. Also, let me also say that all of my SARMs are from Uniquemicals, and you guys all know where everything else I'll be listing comes from:

This is the overall plan. If I feel there is something that I need to tweak (i.e., dosage), I will do it by feel as I go. For those of you who want to nit-pick the doses, I've ran stuff like Anadrol and DNP, so although I have not ran Beastdrol before, I cannot foresee it being any worse that some of the harsher orals I've ran in the past. I'm not going to run it at 40mg/day, but I don't feel there's a need to start out at 20mg/day for the first week like everyone here seems to preach. If I jump into it and find out 30mg is too much, I'll back it off, but I highly doubt I'm going to run into that issue. Also, the plan is 6 weeks for each cycle of Beastdrol. Some here have told me to only go 4 weeks, but again, I'll be the judge of that. I've done enough compounds to know when to back off, so if I'm 4 weeks in and feel like I need to come off, then I will (and you guys will find it here in my log); if I'm on week 4 and ready for more, then I'll continue running it for the planned 6 weeks.

My primary goal in this year-long endeavor is some nice, quality strength gains. As mentioned earlier in this post, my goal is only a 20 lb. muscle mass increase, which is only my goal. If I wind up with more, so be it. Again, my goal is strength, not so much size. The demands in my life require me to be more of an all-around athlete, not just a gigantic muscle-bound wall of meat - the more mass I have, the more mass I have to run, jump, climb, etc. with. Obviously, with all the SARMs and such, I'm looking to chisel up, even moreso than I already am.

My diet in this will be (generally) "maintenance" level calories while using SARMs, and "bulking" level calories while using Beast/Katana (though I will err more toward the lower end of the caloric range to ensure that I don't accumulate much/any fat while bulking). Basic principles of my diet throughout this little journey will follow Christian Thibaudeau's "Carb-Cycling Codex", as well as the general rule of separating my carbs and fats as best as I can in my meal choices.

Before going further, I'll just say that I'm currently in the process of recovering (again) strength I've recently lost, mostly due to the hectic schedule in my personal life (family, work, school). Now that things are leveling out again, I'm trying to really hit this hard. I've been a lot stronger than the numbers I'll be posting early on in this thread, but no excuses, I prioritized other things in my life over the gym and it cost me. I'm now back in it to gain what I lost and then some. This won't be one of those "daily" logs, simply because I don't think this is Twitter and I don't feel it necessary to give a daily "play-by-play" of the goings on in my daily routine. I'll post up numbers and experiences/opinions throughout my yearly log. Maybe if you guys are lucky, I'll throw up some photos later as well.

Week 1, Day 1 (07/30):

Starting out with maintenance calories for 3-4 weeks to see how the SARMs fare in terms of body recomp. As far as my diet layout, it is built around Chris Thibedeau’s “Carb Cycling Codex” (T-Nation). If I haven’t lost any fat by week 4, I plan on switching up to a slightly calorie deficient diet combined with a stricter, more “traditional” form of carb cycling (no carbs during the week, followed by a carb reefed over the weekend). I will be working out 6 days a week, with 3 “heavy” days and 3 “light” days.

Tasted S-4 and MK-2866 for the first time this morning. An inarguably unpleasant taste, but it was bearable. I held a mouthful of water in my mouth and squirted the SARMs into my mouth before swallowing, then washed it down with more water. The aftertaste lingered for about 5 minutes afterward.

Week 1, Day 5 (08/03):

I’m not sure if I’m just getting used to the taste, or if I’ve developed a better technique to ingesting the SARMs, but the taste is not so bothersome and the aftertaste is very short-lived. I’m convinced that I’ve already experienced libido enhancing effects from the SARMs, as I am taking nothing else with them that would have any influence on my testosterone or libido. I’ve become significantly more…”influenced” by carnal thoughts.

Week 2, Day 8 (08/06):

The pumps are INSANE. Vascularity clearly more prominent. Taste has gotten better. Libido still crazy high. No signs of suppression at all.

Week 3, Day 16 (08/14):

Oh yeah…Today is the first day where I feel like I could (before hitting the gym) bench press semi trailers and deadlift houses. My strength is up – not AAS/PH levels – but it’s clearly increased. I’ve stayed at 220 lbs, but my muscles are fuller and I’ve clearly lost bodyfat. The most exciting part about it is I can LITERALLY see a visual improvement on weight loss each day. Of course, I really don’t have all that much fat left to lose, but it’s crazy how I can literally see my fat loss results change DAILY.

Week 4, Day 22 (08/20):

This shit is ridiculous. I’ve tried all kinds of dieting plans, tricks, strategies…you name it. I’ve always been about 10-12% bf at my leanest, and I just could not get myself any leaner; this isn’t to say that it wasn’t possible before, but being married and a father, as well as having a busy schedule and full-time job (and limited financial resources). I’m still floating at 220lbs., but as before, I continue to get leaner each and every day. My face has leaned up to where my cheeks have sunken in (for the first time in my life); I’m not talking about “meth addict” sunken cheeks, but I mean that my face has leaned up so much that I now have that “fitness model” face, where that space between my cheek bones and my jaw line have curved inward (at rest) as a result of leaning up in my face. My abs are coming out more and more everyday…this shit is magic!!! Still no signs of suppression (if you know what I mean). Libido is through the roof, despite the lack of testosterone support supplements.

Let me just add as well, just for the sake of “experimentation”, I started out with a fairly strict diet; in other words, I ate “A”, “B”, and “C” everyday, and did not deviate from my diet. To “test the waters”, so to speak, I’ve relaxed on my diet – not my macronutrients, but rather, my diet plan has become more of a “guideline”. I’m not eating junk food all the time, but I’m eating what I want, and not counting my exact intake of protein, carbs, or fat. I have a general “ballpark” idea, but no clue as to the exact numbers everyday. There were even a couple of special occasions where I dug into some wicked delicious (and unhealthy) chocolate ice cream cake and pizza; however, despite my deviation from my diet, my fat loss has not slowed.

Haven’t been to the gym yet today, but I’m gonna compile some of my lifting numbers and post them up here. I may also throw up some of my body measurements for the hell of it too. Stay tuned.

Looks like it will be an awesome year for you bro, hope you kill your goals! Have you considered running a low dose of test or transderm alongside the beast? I'm gonna be running a best/ test e cycle this fall, i'm pretty fired up about the two compounds working together!

Have you thought about staying on osta for the full year? It's only very slightly suppressive, and it could benefit your soft/connective tissue as far as pain and injury prevention.

Looks like a sick run bro!

Sorry for the long gap between posts. Busy, busy, busy...

Week 5, Day 29:

Libido still up, no male "functioning" issues, despite taking ZERO hormonal support supplements (i.e., Unleashed, HCGenerate, etc.). I've continued to lean, but I'm now consistently weighing 222.5 lbs. My cold measurements (as of last week, when I measured) are as follows:

Neck: 18"
Chest: 50"
Bicep: 17.5"
Forearm: 13.5"
Waist: 33"
Hips: 42"
Thigh: 27"
Calf: 17.5"

Numbers are rounded down to the nearest "large" fraction (i.e., forearms were 13.625", but rounded down to 13.5")

My back was a little tight last week, which seemed to affect some exercises, but not others (ex: barbell bench did not go up, but dumbbell bench press did).

The sides from S-4 have not worsened now, even after 4 weeks. I'm going to keep it at 50mg/day for this cycle, but when I start it up again after PCT following my first round of Beastdrol/Kanadrol, I'm going to dose it at 75mg/day to see what happens.

I've never tried Sarmssearch or how it is bottled, but my biggest complaint with Uniquemicals' products is the type of bottle has a "childproof" lid, which is good, but it does not form a good seal, and if not kept upright, or if it's knocked over accidentally, a small amount will leak out. Additionally, it seems like some of the liquid is also lost in the "drawing" process; if you dip the syringe too deep in the bottle, residual liquid clings to the outside of the syringe, which over time, affects the supply. This is my only explanation, as I dosed it at 50mg/day, but found that my first bottle of S-4 ran out a few days short (by Day 26). Not a huge deal, just got to be more careful not to put the syringe too deep in the bottle when drawing the liquid out.

I forgot to add in my original post, I am also taking Need2Slin and Alpha T2. An interesting weight-loss observation I've made so far with a little "experiment" I've done is I only take 1 cap of Alpha T2 each day, approximately 2 hours after my last solid meal following my workout. Then I'll go to work and fast for 6 hours (so a total of 8 hours without food). I'll usually take my lunch break and load up on a decent meal, typically moderate carbs and high protein. Every time I do this, I can literally see a visible improvement in my leanness I can only assume it's a synergistic result between the fat oxidation effects of the SARMs and the fat mobilization effects of Alpha T2's Rauwolscine HCL.

I'll get some lifting numbers posted up in the near future. Also, for the sake of avoiding overtraining (since SARMS and AAS are not the same in terms of muscle recovery rates)and to reliably manage my workouts between my job, school, and my family, I've switched to a 4-day split: Legs/Abs, Chest/Tris, Back/Bis, and Shoulders/Traps/Abs.

Week 5, Day 35:

A few days ago, I finally started "seeing yellow", but it only happens upon waking and goes away almost immediately. I only notice it upon immediately waking and looking at my cell phone to check for missed calls/messages.

Things are still going well; I've got three weeks of SARMs left before my mini-PCT, and then it's onto THE BEAST!!!

Just so you guys have an idea as to what my overall plan is with this year-long multi-cycle program...

SARMs, Round 1: I wanted to try SARMs out for the first time, see how it went, and I wanted to ease into this program. My diet plan has been very relaxed, as again, I wanted to see how SARMs were without doing anything "special" with diet. Since I haven't steadily done cardio since my wife had our child several months ago, I again, wanted to ease into this program, so I started with just weights and no cardio.

Beastdrol/Katanadrol, Round 1: Here's where I plan on getting more serious. Diet will be pretty clean, and calories/carb intake will vary, depending on the training activity/intensity level that day, so that I can keep my mass gains as lean as possible. I will be introducing cardio in this phase. I own a Prowler 2 sled, and I will be using it at the end of every back and leg training day to really blast my back and legs. In this phase, I will be switching from a 4-day training routine to a 3-day training routine, which will be arranged so that I can maximize the number of quality training days. With the training schedule I have laid out, I will have 8 solid training days per muscle group in the 6-week cycle. The main goal in this phase is strength, though with my increased caloric intake, I expect to see a solid 6-10 lbs. of LBM.

SARMs, Round 2: In this phase, I will be increasing my S-4 dose to 75mg/day, and I will be adding in GW-501516 at 20mg/day, so essentially it will be a full 8 week long SARMs "triple stack". I will increase the cardio to include more running and stair drills, as well as continue training with the Prowler 2 sled. I will probably keep my training to a 3-day split, but I will be doing more cardio on my "non-training" days. The goal in this phase is to increase my endurance, strip off any fat accumulated from the previous Beast/Katana cycle, and further lean down more. My diet will be more restricted than from the first round of SARMs, and I plan on changing to a cyclic ketogenic diet for part or all of this phase.

Beastdrol/Katanadrol, Round 2: I will be repeating the same training and a similar diet as the first Beast/Katana cycle; the only difference will depend on my results from the first phase, I may be stricter on my diet, or I may increase my caloric intake as I see fit. The main goal in this phase is strength, though with my increased caloric intake, I expect to see a solid 6-10 lbs. of LBM.

SARMs, Round 3: I will be repeating the same training and diet as the previous round of SARMs. The goal in this phase is to strip off any fat accumulated from the previous Beast/Katana cycle, and further lean down more. Basically, the goal here is to increase my endurance further and polish up my physique with another recomp.

Looks like it will be an awesome year for you bro, hope you kill your goals! Have you considered running a low dose of test or transderm alongside the beast? I'm gonna be running a best/ test e cycle this fall, i'm pretty fired up about the two compounds working together!

As much as I'd like to go all out on this, I'm gonna be raising eyebrows at work already as it is! Good luck with your cycle, though. I'm sure Beast will be a nice kickstarter for your Test.

Have you thought about staying on osta for the full year? It's only very slightly suppressive, and it could benefit your soft/connective tissue as far as pain and injury prevention.

Looks like a sick run bro!

I might consider it, seeing how the only time I'll be off it is when I'm running my mini-PCT between my SARMs and PH cycles.

Week 7, Day 46:

Well, came across my first disappointment. I'm not sure how it came up this way, but my Uniquemicals MK-2866 and S-4 seemed not to last as long as I figured it should have. Sure, I figured some is lost when you dip the syringe in the bottle each time, but I SHOULD have had 60 days worth of SARMs, and my bottles are extremely low; I can't tell by just eyeing it, but if I had to guess, I will be running out of MK-2866 and S-4 by the end of the week, which is a week earlier than I had planned, and about 10 days earlier than the bottles should have run out. I'm not saying Uniquemicals shorted me on SARMs, but I'm running out of this far sooner than I should be. I'll be curious to see if I run into this issue on my next round of SARMs...

With that said, my cycle schedule - if I am, in fact, short by a whole week - advanced a week, and I will be starting my mini-PCT next week. I'll keep you guys posted when my SARMs bottles run dry.

As far as my progress, I'll just give you an update. First, as a reminder, this current run of SARMs was somewhat of a "pre-cycle", as I wanted to run MK-2866 and S-4 and see what it did on its own, even when not eating so clean (maintenance calorie level, but little effort on being strict in WHAT I eat) and without cardio. Despite not having the best diet for 6 weeks, and doing no cardio, I was thoroughly impressed, as I still continued to lean up, get stronger, and improve my overall body composition.

Currently, I am in Week 7, and my plan was to switch to a strict Cyclic Ketogenic Diet (but still no cardio) for the last 2 weeks. Although I might be running short on my SARMs, this is what I plan to do through the end of my SARMs cycle. So far, I'm halfway through this week, and I've noticed an even more rapid fat loss...I can't wait to see what happens the next round of SARMs, when I kick up my S-4 dose to 75mg/day and add in GW-501516 and cardio!

I'm still floating around the same weight, about 222 lbs. Haven't measured any of my bodyparts since, but I might do that prior to jumping on Beast/Katana next month. I will be posting up some strength numbers here as well, before starting the Beast/Katana, as well as some "pre-Beast/Katana" pics to show you where I'm at before really getting serious into this multi-cycle madness! Stay tuned!

Just thought I'd give an update. I'm currently running my mini-PCT, waiting for the next couple of weeks to pass so I can really kick this shit off with my first round of Beastdrol/Katanadrol.

Just in case you were wondering, my S4 ran out several days short, lasting about 52 days of my 56-day cycle. The MK-2866 lasted me 55 days.

Not sure if my scale is reading accurately or not. It's a digital scale, it's several years old now, and I paid probably $50 for it, but who knows. Since coming off my SARMs, my scale now shows me weighing at 230, up from about 222 lbs. My diet has not changed, so I'm not really sure where this weight change came from (keep in mind that I weighed about 220 prior to my SARMs cycle. Strangely enough, I do not look different in the mirror - not more muscular, not any less leaner. I measured all my bodyparts and nothing has changed. Water weight? I don't know. Just seems strange to shoot up that much in weight suddenly.

Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted, though I may not post again until closer to when I start the Beastdrol/Katanadrol. I'll probably be throwing some photos up soon so there's a "before" reference point.

I forgot to add, in case anyone was curious, following my last dose of S4, the sides (night blindness, yellow tint) went down gradually each day, and was completely reversed by the 3rd day (following my last dose).

Today is the day.

I took my first dose of Beast and Katana at 8:00am. I will be training legs this afternoon. Current weight is 220. I will be posting up some "before" photos later today.

Sorry for the long gap between posts. I'll catch you guys up...

The first day (10/09/12), I started off with legs. Each of my workouts begins with warming up, then one big compound movement, and I finish up each workout with supersets of isolation and compound exercises in a slightly higher rep range. Just because I've had recent problems with one of my knees, I've opted to keep my squats and deadlifts in a higher rep range with lighter weights.

On my log, I will only be listing my numbers for the major compound lifts. Reason is that these are the only lifts that I'm focused on improving each week. My other exercises each workout are "support" lifts, and I adjust the weight amount up or down between workouts and even between sets, as I try to keep my rep range at around 10 reps. For example, on my chest/shoulder/tricep days, my main compound lift is the flat barbell bench press. Once I'm done with my main lift, I follow it up with 4 sets of standing military press/decline barbell bench supersets, and I finish my workout off with 4 sets of incline bench/close-grip bench press supersets. On my last set of each superset, I finish them off with 2 sets of rep pauses.

Anyway, on 10/09, I started off with legs. On my squats, I go all the way to the floor, until my butt touches my heels. Day 1, I squatted 285 x 12 for 3 sets.

10/10, went for a nice 2-mile run to loosen up my legs from yesterday's workout.

On 10/11, I lifted chest/shoulders/triceps. For my main bench routine, I'm following a 5 x 5 program. My bench was 275 for 5/4/4/4/3 reps.

On 10/12, I took it easy and skipped deadlifts. The reason was due to a work schedule issue that essentially left me with only 1.5 hours of sleep between my back/bicep workout and my chest/shoulder/tricep workout the day before. It was still a productive workout.

10/15, I lifted legs again. My squats went up to 305 for 12/12/10 reps. 20 lbs in the first week...not bad.

10/17, I worked chest again. My bench shot up 10 lbs, to 285 for 5/5/5/5/4 reps.

10/18, I deadlifted for the first time since I started Beast/Katana. Actually, this was the first time I had deadlifted in several weeks. As I said before, I decided to go with lighter weights and higher reps. For deadlifts, I pulled 405 lbs for 10/8/8 reps.

As expected, since I hadn't done deadlifts in so long, it's taken a few days for my lower back to recover. My lower back was still tight today (10/21), so I decided to take it easy and work my legs with even higher reps, and stuck with exercises that minimized stress on my lower back. For my main leg exercise, I stuck with a "hack squat" machine that almost looks like a standing leg press, and is canted at a 45* angle. I threw 4 x 45 plates on each side and cranked out 5 sets of 20 reps each.

I'm gonna go for a light 2-mile run tomorrow to loosen my legs up from Sunday's workout. Then Tuesday, it's back to chest again. So far, I'm really diggin' the Beast!

Also, I just thought I'd add, I'm up 9 lbs., to 229. I'm not sure if it's from my diet or from the N2Stim, but I've not accrued any fat, and in fact, appear to have grown leaner, despite my 9 lb. weight increase. The N2Guard has appeared to be working well at keeping my water retention down as well. My face is still lean, and I don't have those annoying marks on my legs where my socks were on my feet (usually experienced with water retention. So far, my gains have seemed very dry, and again, I've leaned up more, albeit only slightly, since I started Beast/Katana. Between the N2Guard and the 1000mg/day of Vitamin B5, I have not seen any acne on my face or back, which I usually experience on AAS/Prohormones. I'm almost two weeks in, and so far, this is turning out to be a clean, lean, and productive cycle!

Just FYI, I'm still alive. I'm just waiting until the end of my Beast/Katana cycle to type up a lengthy review of this cycle phase. About 10 days to go til PCT...
