"The tough get going"

This shit is really bothering me, Ill make it as short as possible...

Me and my girl were rolling this weekend at nikki beach on south beach - it starts raining. So I call a friend who lives close by, he said to come over they were partying at his house. We go in say whats up do a few bumps. I notice one of my friends - friends (who I didnt know) was sitting on the floor with his head propped up agaist the couch fell asleep with a cigarette still lit. I made some jokes that I was fire marshall Bill and took his cigarette and put it out for him.
a little while later I look and the kid is like foaming of the mouth so I grabbed some kids who knew him - they were all calm about it - like "owe its cool he just took a little to much Ghb. I was kinda freeked out about it - mind you im rollin and with my girl... next thing the kid pisses on himself while still passed out, thats when I was like yo - were gonna get going and I cut out.
I called later to see how the kid was and it turned out he was fine, they put him in the bath tub or some shit. So I fornicated the rest of the night, and went to sleep. The next day I get a text message (not even a call) from my friend saying "I guess when the going gets tough, the tough get going". I guess meaning I am a sell out.
Do you all think Im a dick, like was I supposed to stay there and watch this kid die and shit (while rolling, with my girl). If it was me, I would have called 911, but they were all calm about it, like this happens all the time. anyway, I didnt text him back, but that shit is bothering me cause I am not the sell out type. I had to get that off my chest.
 
Either that was a really clever use of that phrase or he didn't use it right at all. I haven't decided which yet.
 
No way would I put myself at the scene of a drug overdose, and if that kid reacts so badly all the time, his "friends" should tell him to lighten up on the drugs a bit. One of these days he's going to die in the bathtub with piss all over himself, and his friends are all going to be questioned why they did nothing for him. I may hang with different friends if I were you. No, that isn't being a sell-out. That is just being wise.

Thanks chickie - I dont think my girl is going to let us go by there much any time soon anyway. But the sell out thing is what bothered me. I guess cause I was the biggest guy around they wanted me to be the one to pick him up and put him in the tub. Not happening you know.
 
A friend of a friend died this past spring, and it was a similar situation as this. He was on coke, GHB, and oxy. He was on the floor, sitting against the couch. He kept shaking but would come out of it. A couple of times he threw up a little, but nothing really happened. Next thing they knew, he fell over and was hardly breathing. Pissed himself, shook more, just bad shit. They were throwing water in his face to wake him up, but nothing. He died right there. I heard all of this from 2 people that were there and just watched. What a waste.
 
If your buddy is pissed at you, it's only because you left the work for him. Not because you were inconsiderate in leaving the od'er behind.

i wouldnt stress it too much. you made a wise choice.
 
The problem isn't if you leave or don't leave.

The problem is you should not be at anyone's house, or even hang out with that type of people. You will end up in jail or dead.

I have been told many times that "I thought you were cool" etc. Well, I had alot of fun my life. But, many of them who thought I wasn't "hardcore" enough are dead or in jail.

BTW. You should stop rolling if you can. Drinking isn't good for you at all. But, it is not illegal.
 
If I thought that someone was going to die, I probably would have called 911 regardless. Piss on your so-called friends. Just out of curiosity, do you wear your baseball cap sideways, drive a rice-burner with a fart-pipe and a big dumbass tail and wear your pants down around your ass??

absolutely not brotha.. when I do go to a club - I wear D&G or Prada and enjoy smooth house music when I am banged up - which is not every weekend, only on special ocations.

When I am in my car or in the gym. I like bands such as Mastodon, Lamb of God, Atreyu, Drowning pool - who all make bands like Breaking Benjamin (in your avi) seem like easy listning.. But I do love Breaking Benjamin too - they are on my Ipod and the Diary of Jane rocks.....

Yes I was concerned he was gonna die, but like I said they were not, they were all calm about it. I could not be the one to get athorities involved in business that was not mine, I didnt know if I was just overreacting or not. I did call later to see if he was alright, or to see if he was dead basically, and he was not. If it was up to me I think 911 should have been called to be safe, but it was not my place to make that call. And aparently it would have caused more trouble then anything. They took a risk and got lucky, just like House did last night.

I just think that if you had gotten a call saying..."man we thought he was alright and when we woke up this morning we found him dead", you would have felt pretty shitty that maybe you could have done something to prevent it. Thats all I am saying.

It was indeed a screwed up situation. The scenerio you mention did cross my mind. And, no, I am not the tin man, I do have a heart. I would have felt bad if the kid died.
 
I would have bailed too dude, you didn't know the guy right? Plus a dude pissing himself is a total buzz kill.
