yeah... I hope they do this one right. I have read the Punisher off and on for years and he is supposed to be a machine like killer... hopefully they portray him as such and not some pansy ass with a soft side.

Travolta would have been OK... but he would have needed to get into shape and put some muscle on... Janes looked pretty muscular from the short clips I saw. He may do alright in this.

I agree with you mostly on this one. That movie sucked and it was not because of the CGI. I'll admit that I would have liked to have seen something like Bill Bixy and Lou. That's the Hulk that I remember watching as a kid, although it did take me a while to actually watch one because the Hulk scared me. (I think it was because when I was really little, I was scared of the Wicked Witch too and they are both green, but I digress.) I realize that the producers wanted something that was more technologically advanced that Bill's eyes turning a funny color and then suddenly, there's Lou. So the CGI wasn't what ruined this movie.

I remember Project warning me that it sucked, but I watched it anyway once it came on our campus movie network. The acting was horrible. The storyline had major issues. The attempts to make the movie look like a comic book did nothing but make my head hurt. The list goes on and on. The CGI was decent, not great or even good, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

BTW, I don't think Travolta could have pulled off this role. I'm not sure he still has it in him to be someone like the Punisher, plus he would have had to work his ass off physically. I might be wrong and he could have been an awesome one, but I don't think so.

I'm not sure what Jane will be like either. I've seen him in a few roles, but none that are quite as ruthless as the Punisher is supposed to be. I'm kind of expecting him to give the character a soft side. We'll see. And yes, from the clips I have seen, physically, he looks good. He put on muscle, toned up, and looks strong.
