anyone here from the outer bank in north carolina?? how is it there because i will be moving there in a couple months from NYC, i am sure it is nothing like the city but how are the clubs, bars and women there??? I am going down there to start up a restaraunt, i got to make sure that there is good ass down there and places to chill, i am sure it is nothing like NYC, but i sure hope they got something close to the sound factory there.

Where are you going specifically? Moorehead City, Wilmington, Greenville?

There are public universities with reputations as party schools at Wilmington and Greenville (especially at Greenville).

well bro, there is NOTHING close to SoundFactory anywhere in NC, not even charlotte. If you are actually on the out banks, like on the island, then there is virtually nothing to do, if you venture down towards wilmington you'll find lots of hotties and lots of decent places to party, but its NOWHERE close to NYC

that was the answer i feared but expected, i will actually be on the outer bank, i forget the name of the town my parents are looking into, but they are down there right now

Smalls,

DDRman pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's more like a family-atmosphere down there, with no clubs. Just few bars but nothing wild like you would find in a mid-sized or even a small city. You are going to start up a restaurtant over there? WOW, good luck to you. It's extremely competitive down there and new businesses are popping up every day over there. Which area are you planning to open your restaurtant up in Outer banks? Kill Devil Hills, Duck, Corolla, Nags Head, or what? I don't suggest doing it below South Nags Head.

Personally, I don't think your plan is quite feasible but good luck to you.

One more thing, Outer banks is completely dead during off-season.

What he said, also the "in season" is very short. But it is also one of the prettiest places to live.

i believe the restaraunt is in nags head, and i am actualy going down there with my parents to take over an existing business, and as far as season goes, he is closed for 3 months in the winter. are you from the area? are there many hurricanes down there?

Hurricanes?

They usually get brushed by one or two a year, if not hit directly. The storms they get in the winter time can be pretty severe also. I used to go there at least once a year, I love it during the winter time. No tourist and you have some spectacular scenery all to yourself.
