The Olympia 06

I was in Vegas on vacation earlier in the year
and saw Jay Cutler. He seemed unusually hard for
offseason. I was wondering if anyone had seen
Coleman just curious about what kind of shape he's in.
If Coleman doesn't improve, he won't beat Haney's
record.

I saw Coleman recently in Orlando at the opening Max Muscle, he f'ing huge, but not his leanest thats for sure. Typical offseason Ronnie

Go anyone other than Ronnie.
ronnie needs to go.
Someone needs to win that is more than just freakin hugh.
Someone with size, cut and symetry needs to win.
Someone like Dexter Jackson.

I see Dexter from time to time at the gym I train at. He has dissappeared lately which normally means its game time! I am hoping Cutler will win this year though, he seems much more disciplined than Dex and represents the sport much better in my opinion. Dex was at a local bodybuilding show that I was at, he was selling his pictures at his booth and eating McDonalds and fries.

Coleman is just in a different world masswise, he will win if he had no setbacks.

Never know though, someone new could come forward or maybe someone discovered a supertren and will shock everyone.

LOL supertren....no it's time for Coleman to go down, I believe Jay will suprise alot of ppl this year and win the whole mofo hands down. Time for a new champ.

I like Jay too, but Coleman is too much to handle if he's on.

hey i like jay too...but he is not even as close to as vascular as ronnie...but i would still love to see him win

I don't think vascularity should be part of the contest. Some guys can be leaner than others, but not show great vascularity.

Let's go JAY.

Jay is a nice guy with a great physique but every year he is supposed to shock people and he does come in bigger but Coleman comes in even bigger and way more conditioned. I don't think he will ever beat Coleman. Dexter is next in line or maybe gustavo.

yeah but i think vascularity does come to play in judges decision...i know that it is not a category but i think they do take it into play...jmo...i wanna see jay take it

I think some people are mistaking vascularity with great conditioning. Ronnie comes in dry and conditioned to the bone even though he is massive. He doesn't sacrafice conditioning for size IMO.

Funny, you go from a guy at about 280-290 to 225 to 260. What size you think should be rewarded with the Olympia.

if vascularity was the defining characteristics, paul dillet would be the winner. guy has freaky ropes running under his skin

Here is exactly the reason why vascularity should not be a defining characterisitc. His veins were gross. Look Branch Warren's chest, he has so many veins on it, I can't tell between veins and striations.

Personally, I think some veins look good but not when it overshadows the muscles. The muscles should be on display, not the veins.

pual dillet had that nasty vein that did a circle on his right pec downinto his bicep like a zig zagging snake and only on one side it was just nasty to look at.

for the Big O i think it will be jay becuase joe weider wants a white dude to win it and change it up no where in history yet has two black guys been back to back olyimpia if so bodybuilder skin heads would get all upset thinking the sport was "taking over by the NI@@ers" as they already think with basketball ,football, and everyother sport.

does jay deserve it i dont think so I think he will be the next dorian yates the right white man at the right place at the right time.then once jay gets the contest money its gonna be GH,IGF,IL-15 and Insulin like candy then jay will be ripped at 285 onstage and hold it for 5 years. as guys like dexter burn out chases the crown as shawn ray did.

Shawn Ray had some pretty solid people he was competing against. Flex Wheeler, Ronnie, Dorian, Haney, Nasser, Levrone, Cormier and I am sure there are some others.

I think Shawn Ray looked better than Dexter. Dexter has a great build, but is not thick enough. He doesn't have the greatest of legs, his lats are high and he hasn't got calves. Shawn is a great bodybuilder that would have been great for him to get an O win.

Same guy shouldn't always win if there not the best. But who are we as fans to say what we think should happen.

That racial talk was weird... don't think it matters in this sport...

Well, for me it's Jay all the way. I think Ronnie is the biggest mistake ever in the olympia, right from the first year. Flex Wheeler was way better. IFBB sure have their own way of doing things...

I lioke Dexter and Gustavo's physiques better but I still think Ronnie deserves it. He is huge, proportioned, and conditioned and seems to work harder than anyone else. I wouldn't want to look like him but he's def #1 IMO. I do think he looked better a couple years ago though.

speaking of vascularity..

If Coleman comes in on it's game over for everyone else. I saw pics of him last month and he was huge.

I saw Coleman about a month ago at the Mr. Missouri.. He was huge but still holding onto a fair amount of fat and looked real bloated. He knows how to bring it down though.

We were at the Olympia last year and personally I thought Jay had it.. I hope he pulls it off this year. We go every other year and I would love to go back to see Jay defend his title.
