i feel ya nougat, it feels like i didn't get any sleep at all. and the parkway...i hope that motherfucker doesn't mess with me. we have 2 new peeps starting today (only 4 of us in the office at present), so hopefully that will cause some pleasant confusion/distraction.

and i'm fat.

But I have to work tonight, and not only do I lose my day off, but it's also gonna be a major pain in the ass.

I was awakened to the sound of a cat puking this morning. Cats never puke in a convenient place, it's usually under the bed or behind the sofa or someplace where you're bound to step in it.

I looked around, and found the steaming pile down at the foot of my bed, where the little bastard had hurled up the remains of a rat onto the pair of shorts that I was planning to re-wear today. Now, I'm accustomed to cleaning up cat puke, and have a pretty strong stomach, but the sight and smell of the coagulated rat blood, innards, fur, and cat digestive juices was particularly nasty, and I nearly hurled myself as I cleaned up the mess.

This monday kicks ass: Had a four day weekend, played with kids all day and Mrs. Chef at night, the addition of winny to diet makin' cheffy hard 'n' saucy, nothing but blue skies and I am leaving work early for an afternooner, then going biking with my oldest.

it's good that i work the 4 to midnight shift; it takes me most of the day to get mentally geared up to go to work. the few times a year that i have to get outta bed and go to work for 7 or 8 am, i burn down my sick and vacation leave.
