the official i hate cursive writing thread

I never liked cursive. I usually use logic symbols and some adapted shorthand if I want to write fast, so printing and cursive are both slow to me.

I went to Catholic school from 5th grade on thru 12th......my cursive writing was so bad that they finally told me to print!!

Imagine - a Catholic school telling you to print!! It just wasn't done......

I remember parochial elementary school and getting graded on penmanship by Sister Wilma of the I.H.M. I began printing in Senior High, but I still occasionally write cursive with a decent hand.

I was a graffitti writer, so after a while my "formal" style became a weird mix of graffitti and cursive writing that to this day I've yet to fully correct. As a result I moslty print, although my printing looks suspect of a low life scum so I make sure I type anything that anyone who would care about that kind of crap would see.

I'm a printer, my cursive looks like chicken scratch. So does my printing. My siganature is just 2 letters and some scribbley shit.

i just hate it because its so much harder to read someone elses cursive unless they are really neat with it. and if they are that neat with it then it usually takes them just as long as printing.
