yes-you can eat good tasting food mon-fri and then carb up sat/sun so you get the best of both worlds. It also prevents loss of muscle mon-fri

diamond...when u followed it did you follow the high protein diet..there is also the mix of carb/protein i saw..which one did you follow?
I wanted to try it, but i hate foods like bacon..and that kind of crap...i like healthy foods...did you follow it exactly or change it around?

ye but those oily foods r so gross...do you think you could substitue them for healthier options?

Metabolic Diet

Rez, I have Mauro's old book the Anabolic Diet as well as his Metabolic Diet, and to be honest with you, it didn't work for me at all. I've done both diets SEVERAL times b/c I respect Dr. DiPasquale so much, but either way, it just doesn't work for me. I know some people can lose fat on it, but I can't lose with a higher fat intake, either with 0 carbs or 30g like he recommends. Another thing, there's never been any support for his claim of 30g carbs a day, if you can handle 0 fat loss will be as great or greater. Give it a shot and see if it works, if not try a high protein, low carb, low to moderate fat diet. Basically lean protein (chicken, turkey, steaks, etc) and fats from flax and fish oils. Carbs only from some greens. Cut out the dairy and aspartame. I need to do all this to lose fat, and if you don't lose on the Metabolic Diet, give it a try.
