The meet is back on!!!

as some of u know..i had something come up w/the marines that prevented me from competing in my meet next weekend..got a letter today and they canceled it...so i can do the meet now. should i just not workout after sunday or mon just as i would for a strongman comp?

thanks alot man...also got a ques bout attempts...how should i go bout this...for bench for instance i've maxed w/275 but in the shirt i felt i may have gotten alil more. it d idnt kill me...what do u think i should start attempts at?
 
In my first meet... I picked attempts that I could KILL... at least for my first.

I figured that if for some reason I missed my first attempt due to technique, or even missed it twice, strength would not be an issue on getting it a third time.

Play it conservative I'd say... learn from the first meet, you know?

bench 200 raw.........275 shirt............300 if 275 goes easily
dl 315..............400...........
squat................300(whatever i can get to parallel with)........370
 
good choice on your open choices.

i always heard that your 1st attempt should be something you could get it you just woke up, with no food in you, naked in the rain.

i know i tried that too...but promoter says i have to keep on a one piece suit at all times...damn rules:mad:

I have a few suggestions for weight but Bigguns and other powerlifter might have some better I deas. Start with 255, then 280 and then maybe 290 or 300.

Squat 335, 365, 385

Dl 365, 395, 415

These numbers maybe consiverative, but with knee wraps and adrenaline you should get them, I always liek to get the first lift easily, it just helps my confidence so much

i like those...only thing is ...i've been told to start w/somethin incredibly easy adn 255 raw isnt real easy and i cant get that to touch in the shirt...thats why im startin so low raw on bench....but i like your ideas on squat and dl..thanks man
