Can any of you think of some good examples (recent or otherwise) of the media coming to wrongful conclusions when trying to establish causal relationships? If so please link or site the source for me. Thanks.

Media Business anchors usually attribute the performance of the economy based on one or two economic indicators. But in the majority of cases, a host of factors determines domestic and international economic performance.
But I think your looking for media reports that inferred causal relationships between people and events. Medias pretty good now a days. They always say "such and such is associated with" , or "correlated with" , never causes. Theyve been coached by the scientific community. And coached well!
