The "Hooray for baseball" thread

Rocco Baldelli is my boy

I, as one of the few logical fans out there, predict another typical year for the Yanks. Lots of runs scored, never at the right times, poor production with runners on, flashes of quality pitching but overall shittiness from Moose and Johnson, with Pavano and Wright to combine for 1 start the entire season.

But I'll be at the home opener so I'm happy

the devil rays will score a lot of runs, but get scored on even more, one of the most talented teams in mlb with their bats, but their pitching is the worst in baseball
who do you think will have a better season, the Drays or the Marlins?

Drays got Edwin Jackson and Chuck Tiffany from the Dodgers for Danny Baez and Lance Carter. I lost hope in Jackson long a go, but I think Tiffany is a prospect with real talent. I have a feeling the Dodgers are going to regret trading him.

The Washington Nationals.

As I much as I love the New York Yankees. This is my home, and I will support the new team. I know the New York Mets (I'm going) is playing them. I have to see if the NYY will be playing them as well (If they are, I'm definitely going).

Respect for NYCgirl = GONE

I have tickets for Mondays home opener unfortunately theres a forecast for rain. I so hope it doesn't get rained out.

NYCGirl, The NL West is playing the Al west in interleague play this year (it changes every year) so I would think that the NL East plays the AL east (which means the Yankees would play Washington but it could be there or in NY)

the marlins will probably have the worst record in baseball, they will be terrible this year

It could go either way for the Reds. Either pretty good or pretty bad.

Thanks, I will check out the schedule & review it better than I did the first time.

Thank god, for cheap seats. ;)

Well they just signed Grady Sizemore to a longterm deal wich I am quite happy about and the new outfielders name escapes me right now........I really liked Coco but I am a bit confused why Boston loved him so much.

Yankees pitching not looking too good this year

is Kevin Brown still a Yankee? Bwahahahaha

No... Brown is gone. I think he is fighting walls professionally now.

Dodgers and Angels play what's called the Freeway seires this weekend and I know the Giants paly the A's. Do all cities with two teams have a similar series going on right now?

Yankees vs Mets?
White Sox vs Cubs?
Houston vs Texas?

My predictions:

Nats in NL EAST
RED NL CENTRAL
DODGERS NL WEST
METS WILDCARD

BLUE JAYS AL EAST
WHITE SOX AL CENTRAL
ANGELS AL WEST
RED SOX WILDCARD

Im rooting for my reds and redsox, but Im interested in seeing the Dodgers this year since they have some of my favorite players (D LOWE, NOMAR, Bill MUELLER)
