The Hardest Thing to do

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to NOT go to the gym for me!! I'll bet alot of other guys find that too, as this bodybuilding can be downright obsessive! I usually do a 5-day split, with 2-on, 1-off, 3-0n, 1-off. This week I was trying to modify due to my work schedule to 6-on, with Sun. off. I know some pros do this, but I think its just too much for me. Yesterday (day-4-on) my strength was down a bit, and I had to really force myself through the workout. I actually got a good pump and trained to failure, but it came earlier than it should have! Now, I know its alot harder to overtrain when on a cycle, which I'm in the middle of, but I still felt that way today, kind of fatigued and unmotivated, plus I'm fighting a cold, like half of Central Florida right now. So I made the hardest decision to NOT go train.

Eddie Moyzan is my favorite bodybuilder and a real inspiration to me--Every day I write on my food-tracking chart, "WWEMD"--What Whould Eddie Moyzan Do? I figured he would listen to his body, give it a day off, and then go back tomorrow freshly motivated. So that's what I'm doing. But DAMN it's hard not to train! It must be exactly the opposite of how fat lazy people feel about working out!

Just felt like "sharing." Thanks.

i look forward to my two days off myself. :D wake up and no heavy weights to have to lift. but i give it my all when i do lift, so it's not that i am lazy....just that i bust ass for three days and think ahead to the two days i can relax. but i notice i eat more, and have an all around more anabolic sense of mind on my w/o days. and feel shitty on my non-w/o days. like i am not doing anything productive. plus without the pre and post w/o shakes my calories suffer like i said. but i make up for it on w/o days and it evens out the caloric situation. :D

I work at the gym so if I don't go I don't eat.:) I know what you mean though, I tend to be a compulisive overtrainer.:)

Yeah, me too. Just recognizing that I lean towards overtraining, not undertraining helps me to recognize when I need a day off. Now, I can't wait for tomorrow's workout!

the way i look at it is if its too fun then your not doing it right, i loath leg days and dont get me wrong i love to get in the gym but if you spend too much time in there its worse for ya i belive
