I am in a cutting diet and I was wondering if milk(2%) would be a good choice.

There are some opinions who would argue that is Ok to have milk.

If you agree how much should be enough?

in moderation its fine,if u aint doing some strict dieting ,2% or fat free milk is fine in moderation like 1cup a day........but than again you might get replys that say ditch the milk but whaeva,i eat a crapload of cottage cheese and it hasn't effected me leaning

I knew that would be pros and cons over the milk...

Whould be Ok to use milk as a post workout drink?
Maybe in combination with honey for an insuline spike?

milk post workout bad bad

PROTEIN and GATORADE or whateva

preworkout about 1hour before fat free or 2% milk fine

Ya, milk post workout isnt the best due to its slow digestion rate. Also if you have to have milk when cutting skim is always better. Another thing you might want to consider is that some people think milk adds somewhat of a bloat to one's skin. Im not completely sure the science behind it...i can look it up if you want...but ive read info regarding this

if your worried about bloating take papaya pills or ginger roots helped me allot with my meal3 since i eat like about 2-3grilled chicken breast one serving:)

yah yah i know to much protein in 1sitting but this place makes the best cut up grilled chicken breast for 4.99 a pound OMG and its soo good plus its at 11am and i dont get home about 2:30 or some cases at 4 so i have time to burn some of the excess protein and i do eat my veggies with this meal:/ whoop but like you care:/

Milk is fine, as long as it fits into your daily calorie intake that you have set for yourself to cut. I'm currently not drinking any milk because I have no room for extra calories, but if I see I need to add more calories to my diet anytime soon, milk is going to be the first thing I add. End of the day, it comes down to cals in VS cals out. Milk is not different from any other food you take in. Excess calories make people fat, not specific food. Just some of the calories you take in will turn to fat if taken at the wrong time.

milk and other dairy products is fine for your last meal (just before bed)

casein is a slow disgesting protein

Diamond... I agree with you that milk should be cut out... why don't you post why you think it should be? I do believe that you have some good knowledge and generally give the right advice... BUT YOU NEVER BACK UP YOUR ANSWERS WITH AN EXPLANATION.... which of course people would like to hear...
