"The Fat Burning Diet"

Natural One

New member
"As you sleep, insulin activity is very high, converting everything in your stomach to fat. "

WHAT?!?!?!? I pulled this quote from a site regarding "the fat Burning Diet" . Is this statement True or False. I must know because this could change a lot for me.

Hell no dude... that sounds like an infomercial.... Truth is, your body still goes about digesting, etc. In fact you burn about 60-80 calories per hour while asleep from what I understand. Dont worry about it. I'm not sure about insulin activity/levels tho.

If you have a high carb meal just before bedtime, then yes, insulin activity will be high!! And unless this was also a post workout meal, a lot of those carbs may get stored as fat. But as long as you create a daily caloric deficit you shouldn't worry too much. You'll merely burn the stored fat off the next day when your energy needs are (hopefully) higher.

insuline activity is triggered mostly by ingestion of carbs, although insuline levels do raise slightly from eating protein as well, but no nearly to the same extent as from carbs, with that in mind if you have carbs before going to bed you will get an insuline spike which may cause fat storage
