The Dems should have picked John Edwards

As if you would want Bush to have stronger competition. So what you are really saying is you wish the Dems picked someone else to defeat Bush?

Don't you have anything else to chat about besides politics?

AAP, you sig has the word "ain't" in it, you're using it as a contraction for what?

Thanks!

yes, they definitely should have picked him. he is a better candidate for a number of reasons. i have been in court with the man several times and he comes across as a genuinely nice guy.

however, even if he were the candidate, wouldn't the republicans still find plenty of things to bash him about?

No contraction.

On EF I hold the patent for using ain't along with ya'll (not to be confused with y'all or y'll).

What can I say? I'm a junkie. I'm just commenting as a political observer, of course I want Bush to win. :) As far as other topics, I'll get to that. For instance, my new personal training gig is going well, I'll post up about it on the Training board later.

Even non-Republicans have plenty to bash Edwards about. He is a socialist, even if he does not hold to the complete manifesto of socialism, he has accepted the basic gist of this ideology. When interviewed by O'Reilly, he made the argument that increased progressive taxation was acceptable because those who make more should "give back" to the society that "allowed" them to be successful.

Makes me wanna puke every time I hear this idiocy.

Of course, the object of the game is to win. I think it would have been harder to make it stick with Edwards. Kerry provides ammunition for the GOP practically everytime he has a speech. Have you ever seen a clip from someone on the stump being used against him as effectively as it has been this year?

No post it here. I don't go to the training board much. those training board folks are ... weird.

I wondered what else you were interested in, but couldn't recall you talking about anything except politics. I was beginning to think that after the election (when Kerry wins) we wouldn't see you on here until 2008.

It is going well. Slow start, but good. I have only a handful of clients right now, all women in their 40s/50s. They like efficiency, I get them worked out in 30 minute sessions. I am afraid that if I don't start training some younger clients I will be identified in my gym as the "mommy trainer". I am going to bring my teen-aged daughter and train her just to change my image.

Bush is just too good of a public speaker to be defeated.

Bush's speaking ability (or lack thereof) didn't hurt him against the "articulate" Gore in three debates, or in his sending a clear message to terrorists. I don't expect it will hurt him against Kerry either.

You are a model republican. :verygood:

Edwards- a trial lawyer in the white house?

This is an outcome none of us want, except the personal injury lawyers who advertise during "Judge Judy" so that fat unemployed people who had a car accidentg two years ago might hire them.

Yes, truly presidential material.

LOL. Sadly for the US, Kerry was the best the Dems could do.
