If the race wasn't fair, it was more unfair to Bailey than it was to Johnson. That is not a 'Canadian' viewpoint, that's a cold, hard fact. Johnson got pwned....end of story.

Oh hell yeah. Could not have said it better myself. Johnson and his entourage, backed vociferously of course by the American media who truly can not stand when a Canadian or anyone else is viewed as the best, hung themselves. Johnson had every advantage and when he realized what a fool he was going to look like after all the big talk, he turtled. He is forever the biggest pussy in track.

I don't think it was an American vs Canadian thing. As stated earlier, the title of World's Fastest Human has always gone to the 100m winner. It was Johnson's publicists who got carried away.

I am a big MJ fan, but he clearly pulled the proverbial hammy when defeat was eminent, just like biteme.

I remember it well, I think it was after the 96 Olympics. When they aired the slo-mo you could see D Bailey looking behind him after MJ pulled up. He was mouthing the words:

"Where you at?"
