I heard it's shit from a few friends. They said they went in expecting a good movie. I asked them if they realized no movies are ever as good as the books and they said they still thought it could have been better.

i havent read the book, some parts didnt flow too well, like it was assumed the viewer could put it all together. I liked it thou. Im not a religious nut, prolly will walk out pissed if you are

It wasn't bad, you do need to read the book first. Went with a friend who hadn't read the book and was totally lost. The details are in the book, not the movie.
