Man what an awesome book. I have not been so entranced by a book since a Hunt For Red October. But this one was waaaaay better. The best part was the end.

I was also surprised at how critical the book is of the Church. Though he does kind of temper that at the end.

Of course I had to look up the paintings he mentioned on line.

Glad it was recommended to me.

I'll look for the Ebook. Thanks for the recommendation.

I read it in two days. Really couldn't put it down.... most of the theory I have read or studied at depth, so it was cool to see it in an adventurous setting. Good read.

the dude can write.

there are a few books that dissect some of his church claims and disprove them, but the big stuff is accurate.

check out 'digital fortress'. I think it was his first one....similar style, excellent read.

lol

digital fortress is good.

try "Cocaine: The Unauthorzied Biography" by dominic stratfeild - he is british. cool history.

also, the Matt classic, "Constantine's Sword" by James Carroll. a little bit academic, buit the best european history book ever.

see where the idea of crashing a plane into a building comes from....Tom Clancy's "Debt of Honor"

Read 'The worm in the apple'...forgot the author...a critique of teacher unions.

For a laugh at US society read "Class" by Paul Fussell.

That should be a good mix of history, politics and entertainment.

Thanks, I read VERY fast and usually two or three books at once, so the more the merrier.

Have read 'How the Irish Saved Civilization'?

A: To save the world from irish tyranny.

Q: Why did god create beer?
A: So Ivy Leaguers could get laid too...

What the heck is that supposed to mean?

Easy, Shamu.

The best part was in the movie version but not in the book - when Meg Ryan finally figures out that it was Tom Hanks the whole time who was emailing her. I was like, omg LOL how could she not have guessed that earlier?? So obvious.
