anyone ever heard of the cold dip? its where you sit in a bathtub of water at 55-60 degrees for 30 mins. you can burn a 1000 calories in 30 mins like this.....i have never tried it but it sounds like fun

Never heard of this. When I was 18, I had a case of the "cold drip" from sleeping with a girl without a sock. That was about as much fun as sitting in a bathtub full of cold ass water sounds, maybe more I dunno. Does it still work if you wear a wet suit, fins, and full scuba gear? That's normally what I throw on before hopping in the shower every morning.

that might defeat the purpose of it.....i think you are supposed to burn calories by your body trying to generate heat

btw how do you wash yourself with scuba gear on?

is that what herpes looks like? oh wow i guess mines not so bad after all

well when you are cold you burn more calories because your body is trying to produce heat..

when you stick your hands in the snow for 5 mins then run them under hot water it hurts there is alot of blood trying to flow throughthere to heat you up.

no - when exposed to prolonged periods of cold the body WILL add a layer of bodyfat -ie - insulation

Alot of people trying to burn fat will keep their homes\cars cold. This gets the metabolism cranked up. It wont add a layer of bodyfat. However sitting in 55-60 degree water for 30 minutes may dangerously lower your body temp to hypothermia levels. You should check that end out.
