I am currently in PCT, and I found myself running a little low on ZMA and flax oil.
Instead of putting another order in with the web site I use, I decided to go to the local musclehead shop. Keep in mind this is not a GNC, it is a local place that looks to be hardcore enough so that people know at least a little bit about what they are talking about. Signed 8x10's of local bodybuilders and athletes all around, it is family run with guys that clearlylift always behind the counter. They even drive around in a hummer with the name of the store all over it.
I have bought protien, N-Large and creatine from this place before at decent prices, and for some reason they love me. Small discounts, free hats, keychains, and so forth...
Anyway, I go in yesterday, tell the meathead behind the corner that I need ZMA and flax oil. Simple, right?
1st he gives me caps of flax oil, wicked expensive too. I say I want it in a bottle. He looks at me like I have 3 heads. "A bottle of flax oil? What do you do, cook with it?" I tell him no, I dump a tablespoon in my morning whey shake...His eyebrows raise like I am the idiot.
Then for ZMA he gives me some shit called "Z-MASS" that has a price tag of $29.95. (He says he will sell it to me for $25.) I said I never heard of this shit and why is it so expensive?
He said that is all they have, since ZMA is so "old school." At that point this place lost all credibility with me.
I went home and ordered from vitago.com. 24 oz of flax was $10. 60 caps of ZMA was $8.
