Ummmm not sure how we went from Protien powders to conspiracy theories. But, I'll play. The economy is not doing good, at all. That is true. The american auto industry is terrible which effects many many people and many different businesess. Also, the housing market is horrible, new and used! This effect even more folks. Its begining to filter into other industries, i.e. mortgage firms and soon into even more.
However, the sky isn't falling. Its a cycle, we will have a few bad years. Just hope that the company you work for is financially strong. One of the largest companies in the same business as myself, here in Florida, filed bankruptcy just last week. Keep in mind this downturn isnt even a year old yet, and strong companies are starting to fail.
As far as all that other crap ubermensh is talking about...get that shit off this board and go to myspace and join a group called "justathought". You will get a warmer reception there and probably some better discussion.

Milk where I live is currently 3.50 a gallon and I just went to the store and bought Top Round Steak for 3.29/lb. and chicken breast for 2.99/lb.

Just today I bought skim milk at $2.52 a gallon at Costco. I thought that was high. 6 months ago it was about $1.89 a gallon. I'm sure it'll go back down in a few months.
Where to you live to have to pay such outrages prices? Russia?
With the exception of gas and housing, inflation in America has been pretty minimal.
Anyhow; Lately I've been buying EAS brand of whey at Costco for $29.99 for a 6 lb bag.
Ha - now I see - the D.R., you poor bastard, you ought to worry about indoor plumbing more than what protien to buy. If I had to shit in a bucket, I'd be pissed too.
