the ALA in Flax seed oil

Lumberg

New member
What's up jiggas. On a bottle of Flax oil at the store the label claimed that the Omega-3 fatty acids consisted of ALA. I was quite surprised and thought "well I can just get my ALA from flax oil" I have noticed increased vascularity since I started it so the idea isn't too far fetched.

However I have also heard that the ALA in flax oil is some other kind of acid, alpha linoleic acid (as opposed to lipoic).

So all you diet and food chemistry gurus weigh in, please.

Enquiring minds want to know.

Thanks enrage. Is is linolic or linoleic (like the L in CLA)?

Any particular benefits of THIS ALA?

super polyunsaturates.. good for you.. plus may be weak uncouplers of oxidative phosphoralation (slight increase in metabolism.. which may be why it is harder to get fat just eating these.. but still possible)

hey macro quit stalking me!!!! LOL :fro:

That explains a lot--I took a weeks' vacation and worked out, lightly, only once. Ate like (I thought) a pig. ALso consumed an entire 16-oz bottle of flax oil.

Lost 3 pounds and ended up more cut than when I started.

Sure some of that was lbm but damn!!!!

Love the shit.
