what's the best way to clean a pipe ?

The incredible build up of THC residue is screwing with the performance of my trusty bowl.

I tried to just burn it out, but that tastes like shizzel, although it stoned me.

I have a freah pipe from Bonnaroo. This pipe just has a lot of centimental THC from the many bowls that I have packed.

All my mom knows is that I'm Kewl.

I try to avoid smoking resin if at all possible... not good for you.

Try putting it in a bowl of rubbing alcohol for a few hours, then wash that shit off with water. You might want to pick up a pack of those wire pipe cleaners at Wal-Mart or your local head shop.

an organic solvent like isopropyl alcohol would probably be your best bet.

Are you just wanting to clean it to clean it otu and not make use of the residue?

if so...

take a plastic zip lock and toss the pipe in with 4 tablespoons of table salt and enough rubbing alcohol to cover the pipe. Shake it up, let it soak for a while, shake it some more, then rinse it out. You may need to do it again.

I have a new hammer that I try to clean after every use so I dont get build up

Shit i like cleaning & smoking the resin thats where the good strong stuff is! Use a good long sewing needle.

I use simple green. It's non-toxic. Soak w/ 1 part simple green 2 parts water overnight or so and then run hot water through it.

don't boil it. that causes tiny cracks in the glass which will weaken it and make it much easier to break. my buddy could never figure out why all his peices kept breaking then he mentioned he boiled them all to clean them. I told him to stop that and he hasen't had any probs since.

The salt and alcohol can leave a taste. Try efferdent or a denture cleaner.
