Thanksgiving (USA) Day Menu

well, I meet half of my beau's familyl then, big thanksgiving dinner. I've met 3 of his sisters and one of his brothers and still 3 more sibilings to go. Lots of nephews and nieces and godchildren also. wow... so amazing, and my own kids are loving it.

So Thanksgiving day I am making Baked beans and homeaid mac and cheese.. no box crap for me. Ill be cooking for a few hours. Then for my granny's lunch I am gonna cook up a homeaid red velvett cake (tee hee... vel... *wink*) Cream Cheese Icing, gosh damn delicious!

Turkey breast with gingersnap gravy, corn with thyme and chipoltes, chestnut and sausage stuffing, pumpkin pie.

I like ham more than turkey, but will probably have it for xmas so might as well stick with the drier, less flavorful turkey option.

We are trying to volunteer at local shelters but so far everyone said that they have all the volnuteers they need.
Do it over the phone......you look like you would set the homeless men to frantic masturbation and GOM looks like he would eat all the food. Plus your wedding pics are all over the net now and that just scares the homeless 'cause they have to sleep in alleys and don't generally own guns.

:) :) :)

edit: Volnuteers is eerily Fruedian

I'd probably bring one anyway, a pie maybe, or the very least a nice bottle of wine.

eh, she's the type who would be offended if I didnt respect her wishes. If I showed up with something, she'd not be happy. :Chef:

It's been so long since I have cooked a big proper holiday meal, I think I've forgotten how... We celebrated with my sister and her family last week at their timeshare in VA. Was a good time. We missed my girls, but it's ok. We are used to picking another day and just celebrating then. Besides it isnt the day on the calendar that makes it special occasion, but the privilige of having the company of those that you love and care for.

Turkey (purchased - just have to heat it up)
Stuffing
Various veggies
Mashed potatoes
Sweet potato for me
Cranberry sauce (jar)
Crescent Rolls
Cheesecake + lava cakes (both from Trader Joe's)

I will be making my grandmother's (may her R.I.P) receipe for the most delicious mashed potatoes known to human kind.

I will be eating:

30lbs of turkey
2 cans of cranberry "stuff" lol, gawd I love that canned crap
sweet tatoes
lotta homemade breads

... and much, much more MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! :RADAR

The usual but with fresh Maine Blueberry pie, Fresh Maine apple pie, and some Fresh squeezed apple cider.

We'll probably have some venison since some of my inbred relatives hunt and bagged some decent deer. Stuff the turkey with venison.

My Dad's flying in after 9 months of killing Afghani turkeys...so he'll want the regular food.
