Thanksgiving dinner

It's Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend.

Yes, I know we have the date all wrong.

But, I'm thinking of having something different for dinner this year, besides the ol' standby.......Turkey.

It just seems that by having Turkey again, it's just too similar to what I eat day in/ day out.

Anyone have any offbeat suggestions? I willing to try most anything assuming it's edible.:p

We did Lasagne one year. It was great.
Especially since most people have turkey close together both on Thanksgiving and Christmas, it makes a nice change

deep fry a turkey

The bigwigs from Atlanta came down to our branch this summer and we had portable deep-fryers brought out to cook some turkeys.

The entire warehouse area of our facility smelled like a KFC kitchen.

Cooked in minutes too.

Corned Beef and Cabbage sounds good too, but the g/f won't eat cabbage.

Meat is a must.

The meat market next door recently started to stock Bison.

A Bison-Lasagna possibly.

I'm hungry, time for meal #3.:D

maybe cabbage rolls, they have meat in them and taste quite good, plain cabbage is quite boring I must say.

My mom and dad always make cabbage rolls with our holiday dinners; sometimes perogies as well. I love'em both.:D

Now I'm really hungry.

I think I am gong to heat up some cabbage rolls right now. I get weird cravings for the shit so I keep them frozen in a tin for ease of making

Yes, we give thanks everyday that we live next to the best country in the world.

I think we are giving thanks that the Indians and then the Brits were such poor fighters..
