Thank You Notes

Banned
Do most people here write them?

Growing up we had to have them all written within 1-2 days of a holiday/bday. Mine are already written out and in a stack ready to be mailed when I get back to the office on Tuesday.

Raina, I got mine yesterday. Thanks, it was great.

I only write them to the members of my family I don't see regularly, such as those in other states.

I try to have them out within a few days of X-mas but it doesn't always work out that way.

Cheers,
Scotsman

My mom writes them when she comes over to my house for dinner or if I bring a pie to her house or something. My dad is the same way. Thank you note nazis.

Have you tried sky writing the thank you notes? Sure, its pricy, but the effects will last a lifetime...

...the smog from the writing will prolly kill the local wildlife.

Now that's a bit excessive, but at least they show their appreciation for stuff.

some times people will thank me in person for a thank you note I sent out...that gets wierd ...then should I send a thank you note for the thank you? LOL :)

Someone would have to send me one hell of a thank you note to get a thank you for their thank you.
Is the sky writing too much?

It would say...

"R, Germany is mine, bitch. Oh...and thank you."

I should start a thread about this thread.

Sky writing is too much if it's something like a shirt. But if it's like 2 shirts and some socks, then sky writing is good.

Thank you tattoos work too.

I always write thank you notes. I don't think you need to write them for Christmas gifts, but if someone had you at their home and you didn't bring a gift and you were fed, drank...etc. Then maybe a nice gesture. Or if someone did something for you at this time of year that made you think how kind and generous, then maybe too.

Its good to give thanks. :santa:

My wife's former coworker stayed at our house a few days while in town from another state. On her last day she bought my daughter a huge teddy bear as a thank you to us for letting her sleep over. That was a huge surprise for all of us.

I bet you didn't even let the kids have the teddy bear. I bet you keep it locked in your room to play with yourself.

Was that the bear in the christmas pics?

That's an idea, answer all your thank you notes with thank you notes. See how many people will send you a note thanking you for thanking them for their thank you note. Then see how long you can keep exchanging thank you notes before they throw their hands up and run away screaming.

;)

Yes, that was the bear. Very generous of her.

I skip thank you notes on Christmas.

I always thank people who help on projects I have..or Birthday gifts.

I sometimes send a I'll kill you note to some of my cousins when they piss me off
