testosterone and cortisol check

maybe some of you could explain exactly what your cortisol level affects? i had a blood check a couple weeks ago and my testerone level was low. perfectlll i now will get one shot per month, for four months then possibly two shots. time to lift hard.. but now my doctor wants to check my cortisol level. i am not sure what this is for. any help is appreciated. thanks freeweight

Don´t expect anything from that once a month shot, it hardly replaces your own test (same for twice a month).
There´s many factors contributing to high cortisol levels, ranging from mental stress to physical illnesses, I think your doc is a good one, who wants to find out what´s wrong with you.
Did you use AAS in the past, or is your test level low naturally?

o.k. the shot is not near as much as i would like. only 200mg cypionate / month. i am trying to talk the doc into one shot per week. trying to hide the ulterior motive.

I don't think 200 mg/month is gonna help you at all. That is about the average produced by avg. adult male monthly. ~5-7 mg/day. I don't know just how much that injection will shut your natty test down, you might be better off using clomid (w/o the injection), I would ask your doc about that unless he wants to up your dosage. :D

the doc says they will check my test level in three months to see if they need to up the dosage. do you think i could get away with adding a little myself. i guess this would affect my test level tremendously though.

The problem is that if they check your test levels and you are getting 200 mg/month of exogenous test then they really won't know how your natty test if functioning. I still think using clomid alone would be better (for your natural test restoration anyway), I would ask your doc about the clomid.
