testosterone affect sperm

WHile trying for my then 2nd child I had to get my sperm tested. My count was really low - like under 5 mill - anyway, nothing has changed w/ what I put in my body and I now have 4 kiddos.

In this study, which I am only assuming is the one you're quoting, and others, they classified counts of <100,000 sperm/mL as azoospermic. So even those who were counted as sterile were not, in fact, sterile.

World Health Organization Task Force on Methods for the Regulation of Male Fertility. Contraceptive efficacy of testosterone-induced azoospermia and oligozoospermia in normal men.

with less than 100,000/ml getting someone pregnant is like winning the lottery- twice. possible but not likely, more likely that her BCP will fail, a lot more likely.

it may seem like an inviting enviroment to you :p, but for your swimmers its death race 2000 and they are on foot.

as a note- the above are slight exaggerations but azoospermic men are considered to be sterile. ie. a vasectomized male is considered "successfully vasectomized" as long as they produce less than 100,000/ml.

I know you're just being factious...That's a bit of an exaggeration. In one study, failed vasectomies (77) out of about 500, where men had 100,000/ml to be considered "failed", four fathered children within 91 days. 4 out of 77 is not winning the lottery twice. And that doesn't mean the others couldn't conceive, just that they didn't during the follow up.

so on the flip side......would clomid INCREASE the chance for pregnancy? (if taken by the guy)
