Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. I've learned a lot from you all and appreciate your insights. I finally have the guts to ask you a question and need some advice.
Here's my situation. When I was in 8th grade, I got epididymitis and my right testicle, after the infection went away, shrank down to the size of a small pea. Ever since recovering from that, I never had the tight chest or body that I had before that and even now, (I'm nearing 40) I tend to put more weight on around my upper chest. I don't think it's gyno (many of you say that gyno feels harder..my chest is soft and somewhat fatty). My stats are: 6'1", 185lbs. Very little body in my lower body, very small love handles. All of my weight is in my upper chest area, though there are no hard lumps.
So, I went to my Dr. today to talk to him about it and he's sending me to get the following tests done:
1. Complete Metabolic Panel (Na, K, Cl, CO2, Glu, BUN, Cr, Ca, TP, Alb, TBili, AP, AST, ALT)
2. Lipid Panel (Fasting Speciman) (TChol, Trig, HDL, calc LDL)
3. CBC w/Diff
4. FSH
5. LH
6. Prolactin
7. Testosterone, Total
8. TSH W/Reflex T4, Free
Now, I'm pretty certain I have low test. I just want to be certain that nothing I eat or take, etc., will put my test levels within the range but maybe a little low.
Do any of you have suggestions on how to make sure my levels test low so my results will convince my Dr. to give me the meds I need?
Thanks.
