The latest study for testosterone and its effects on the elderly, ages 65 and up posed this:
This study was in the newspaper, three test gropus were set up the following way: one group receives testosterone and works out, the second just works out, the third did nothing as a control. The group receiving testosterone was given 5mg daily transdermally. Tracked over a year, lean muscle mass was gained in both workout groups, however, the group receiving testosterone gained twice as much.
Most interestingly, the men receiving the test started to perform lifts like they did in high school, wheras they were deemed to be moderatley heavy.
The biggest surprise was that the increased muscle in both workout groups improved coordicnation and mobility, prompting some men to do away with their walking canes.
Sorry I do not have all of the facts, but this came out yesterday, and I am just recalling what I read.
Test is great, but we all know that.
