Test E only cycle review...

My first post although I've lurked here for a while. Background - 48 years old ( I know old!) ,6'1" and 230 lbs, about 15% bf, ~30 years on and off lifting with various martial arts and other cardio "sports" like run, bike, cross county ski, swim etc whenever possible, more serious and steady training for the last few years and added 5x5s for the last year mixed up with some high rep work. Current weights - squat 425x3, dead 455x3, 315x5 bench -I have not checked 1RM. Decent but not perfect diet with ~ 4000 cal per day for maintenance. Decided to take it to the next level and do a cycle. Been reading on here but want to do a simple cycle first - Test-E 250mg Thursday and Sunday. I have AIFM and Nolva. I want to get weight up to 250 with same or slightly lower bf while pushing my weights up higher. I got it in my head to see how far I can go before I turn 50. Do the more experienced think this will do it for me?
 
answers were in newbie read sticky but I have a question...

What is typical concentration of test-e in a 10ml vial? The source is a friend of a friend but my friend did not know when I asked him last night. I meet the source tonight at the gym.

500mg ew would be better. As for the vial assuming it's real then probably 250 but that can vary. I wouldn't use anything that wasn't labeled. For all you know it might not even be test e. If you trust the guy then go ahead but I would be very cautious.
 
i've seen concentrations 100mg/ml to 400mg/ml

500mg/wk is great, i would at least get some clomid for PCT that dose can very easily shut you down
 
Sounds like you have everything covered pretty well bro! 250mg is about the norm per ml/cc. It could be 200 or 300 and I wouldn't be too surprised. When you say 250 Tues/thurs does that mean 500/wk? That would be ideal and I say you'll have a nice run and get to the goals you have listed

Thanks for responses. I'll get gear tonight. I thought I had read somewhere that 250mg/ml so 2500 mg/ 10ml vial was standard. You've confirmed it. I'll get 3 vials and have some "extra".

Re: Clomid vs Nolva... is there really a difference? I know I'm a noob to this but I thought it was an either/or choice? I have Nolva but will get Clomid if recommended.

Clomid is probably a better choice but a lot of guys don't like the sides they get from it. Nolvadex should be fine w/ that cycle and you could also add some HCG in there also.

Ok... I just read up on HCG for kicking off natural test at the end of the cycle. I don't see it on AG-Guys. Do sources ussually carry this?

The clomid question... I had read about the sides with Clomid which is why I chose Nolvadex. If I do AIFM throughout cycle and Nolva for PCT with AIFM, I should be ok, right? I can always add Nolva mid cycle if I notice gyno. I don't know if I'm prone to gyno or not. Is clomid better for gyno? AG Guys deliver fast so I could order now to have it on hand.

I do whey protein to get to ~250-300g/ day, cellmass, fish oil, chondroitin glucosamine, vit c, green tea extract, nitrix, no explode pre-workout, axis ht. I take most vitamins twice a day. I've added glucorell and sesamax in last week. I've tried T-Bomb (non-aas) and Terra Trib but seem to like the axis ht best. I'm doing ok for a pretty much natty 48 year guy but don't see the big results that I want. What vitamins do you take that give you the results that you are looking for and what are those results?

500mg should work great for you. Run a small amount of AI like Arimidex Or Letrozole to prevent any problems.

You allready have a good arsenal of supplements. I personally use the same exact ones you use(except for the glucorell and sesamax which I'll be getting). You'll do good with 250mg twice a week. As far as the nolva and clomid is concerned, you'll only know which one works better for you from trial and error so good luck.

It was deca and test, gained 15 lbs of muscle.


At 47 I was a lean 165, now I am a lean 195

Thanks solidspine... good to know that I'm not the only late 40s guy who decides to see how far he can push himself. I'm always amazed/ disgusted by folks in our age group who jsut let themselves go.

I appreciate everyone's advice here. I've been a troll for a while so it's about time that I got involved here.

I'll post some results info after I'm into the cycle.
