Test E. cycle question

OK, I have just finished 5 weeks of a 10 week Test. Enanthate cycle. Although I've run several PH cycles in the past, this is my first real gear cycle. I did kick start my cycle with 4 weeks of Dbol, starting at 20mg going up to 30mg by week 4.

I started at 230 lbs, went to 244 after about 3 weeks. I'm now at about 242-243 since I've stopped taking the Dbols after Week 4.

I am doing 350mg per week of Test E., and my question is this: is 350 too low a dosage? I did some research and thought that for a first cycle, 350mg is more than sufficient to see good gains.

I am not seeing huge strength gains yet, and haven't really gained any weight in a week or two. If 350mg is not enough, can I still amp it up to 500mg for the duration of this cycle? Or is that not a good idea?

BTW.. My diet and training are very solid... my protein intake is more than sufficient. I won't bore you with calorie counts, etc... I did the research and know what I need to eat and how to train. I'm 46 yrs old.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

350mgs is pretty low....you can still see good gains off that, but not as soon as you like.....meaning that you probably wont experience the gains and strength you want till probably week 7-8...now if you had started with 500mgs then you would be seeing what you want in week 5-6....but starting low for your first real cycle isnt a bad idea...just depends on your goals and patience...
 
Bro, I'm sure everyone is dif. to some degree. But I didn't notice strength going up until wk.6 or 7 w/ test e. If this is your first, I would say 350/wk. is fine. You said your diet is solid. Make sure it is. You need the nutrition if you want to gain. Good luck w/ it.

The opinions you will get on this will run the gamment. IN MY OPINION, it is a good dose. You can ramp it up to 500 a week, that is an option. Just a few basic questions. Are you getting enough rest, have you adjusted (increased) the caloric intake to compensate for the hopefully more intense workouts?

Good questions. I try to make sure I get sufficient rest...especially since I'm 46 yrs old. I have adjusted my calorie intake as well... There are occasional (rare) days that due to circumstances, I might miss my calorie/protein goals, but even if I do, I make sure I am still close. But overall, I am hitting or exceeding those goals.

Great advice so far... I think I may stay with 350mg per week since its my first cycle and try to be a little more patient.. maybe I should extend the cycle from 10 wks to 12 wks? What do you all think?
 
I had the same exact situation as you! I thought 300mg/wk Test E was sufficient enough when I started my last cycle. I dropped the dbols from weeks 1-4, and BOOM~....My gains had nearly stopped. I figured I'd bump it up to 500mg/wk and wait it out. I just finished the cycle with minimal gains.

I'm Going to stick with Sust next time around.
Are you using UG or Human grade?

I think 12 weeks is a good idea.

I just finished a Test-E cycle and it took about 10 weeks for it to really kick in. I extended the cycle to 14 weeks because I was loving the results. I would say, in my opinion, extend it to 12 weeks and you might be pleased with the results. Keep us informed.
