TEST/ANAVAR Cycle Questions

Hey guys,

I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

I’m currently on TRT (200 mg/week Test Cyp), and I also have some extra Test Cyp along with 10 mg Anavar.

At 200 mg/week, my bloodwork comes back at approximately:

  • Total Testosterone: 1,500 ng/dL (my lab caps the result at 1,500)
  • Free Testosterone: 28
  • Hemoglobin: 15.5
  • Hematocrit: 47%

I just started week 2 of 20 mg/day Anavar, and the plan is to run it for 6 weeks. I’m also taking TUDCA, fish oil, and other health supplements to stay on top of things.

For reference, I’m:

  • 5’10”
  • 168 lbs
  • ~9% body fat
  • About 89 lbs of skeletal muscle mass

My goal isn’t to get bigger on the scale. I’d actually like to stay around 165 lbs and focus on adding lean muscle, improving body composition, and increasing strength while staying lean.

I’m considering doing a 12-week testosterone blast, but here’s where I’m a little confused.

Since 200 mg/week already puts my total testosterone at 1,500+ ng/dL, what would actually constitute a “blast” for someone like me? Would increasing to 300–400 mg/week make sense, or is there a target testosterone level people generally aim for?

For those of you who have experience:

  • What weekly dose do you typically run for a blast?
  • Do you pay attention to testosterone levels on bloodwork, or do you go more by how you feel and your results?
  • Is there a point where increasing testosterone provides diminishing returns compared to the added side effects?

I’d love to hear your experiences. Thanks in advance!

blast is like 300mgs in your case bro but you'll desensitize too long term

what's your experience with cycles?

Generally I would say a blast starts at 2x your TRT dose for 12 weeks - that would be nice with the var too for 6weeks
Man honestly no sides, I've had the surgery to remove gyno back like 8 years ago.. so I cant even get gyno if I tried.. havent been bloated at all.. my estrogen was 76 when my test was like 1600 total. but I didnt feel any side effects, still felt good.

ya doing the far for 6 weeks then stopping to let liver recover. doing 20mg daily then sometimes 30mg... depends i guess lol

what ur thoughts?

var dose sounds fine - generally best at the back end of the cycle

Your baseline bloodwork numbers look completely dialed in—hematocrit at 47% and hemoglobin at 15.5 give you plenty of runway before blood viscosity becomes a concern on a blast.
  • Anavar & SHBG: 20mg/day for 6 weeks is a solid, conservative sweet spot. Just be aware that Anavar will bind heavily to SHBG, freeing up significantly more active testosterone and potentially causing a slight spike in aromatization to E2 even without increasing your 200mg Test base.
  • Organ & Lipid Support: Running TUDCA and fish oil is smart. Add Citrus Bergamot (1000mg/day) to the stack since Anavar's main impact is dragging down HDL and nudging LDL up.
Finding genuine Oxandrolone without filler or cheap oral substitutions is the hardest part of running Var. I source all my orals and ancillaries through LegitRoids com (just Google LegitRoids)—tested purity, clean batches, and no unexpected side effects. Keep monitoring blood pressure and run a lipid panel around week 4!
