I think tonights south park episode pretty much summed it up.

Fuckin' hilarious.

ha, an instant classic. Cartman as his BFF, I saw your post last night and made sure I watched the 12am reshowing, awesome.
Only they could combine the Schiavo case and heaven vs hell Lord of the rings.

she's in a persistive vegetative state, pvs for short, and scientific research shows that she basically has no sensory reception and no ability to interact within her environment. she has been kept alive by artificial nutrition and hydration and that is not natural. no one has ever came out of a pvs after 2 years and she has been in that state for 10+ years.

I cant believe people are even discussing this.. what kind of heartless fuck would let someone stay alive like that for all those years. Trapped in her own body.. cant move, speak, eat, just trapped.. looking out into the world.. FUCKING HORRIBLE>.

I have no doubt death wil be mroe than a welcome release for anyone in that state (pvs)

If she's dead already then I think they should unplug her otherwise she's going to smell bad.

She is not alive in any sense in terms of cognitive function, Terri left a long time ago. Its just biological life now that is being extended by artificial means, I compare to keeping an organ donor alive til they determine if their organs can be used, they are not alive in any other sense. I remember being alone as a student with my first braindead organ donor and it was eery, a Philipino man in his forties that suffered a cerebral hemmorhage b/c he wouldnt take his blood pressure meds to control it. All sorts of tests on him, heart function was great, NOPA, northwest organ procurement has a whole list of criteria an organ donor. Finally after all of the tests were done, come to find out he had Hep C. goodbye organ donor, had people already in different hospitals that were contacted to go there to receive their new organ, all for not. They just unplugged him and let his biological function cease. Schiavo is not that unusual, just media ratings thats all.
