Temporary fix for high blood pressure?????

One of my teammates is "on" right now and he went for his physical today and his blood pressure was through the roof.... i think he said like 180 over like 100 or 120 or something absolutely rediculous, and he has to go back tomorrow and get it done again, is there anything that anyone knows of that he can take before his rexamination tomorrow to lower it so that he can pass and practice?

There are drugs that can be administered to rapidly reduce BP, but they are used in emergency situations. If you are desparate or crazy, hit the ER.

Aspirin will lower blood pressure by lowering blood consistancy. That is why they tell you to take it in case of a heart attack.

That's correct, a diuretic is what's best for you for gear induced high BP. It is safe, however, not for long periods. Long term use will deplete your body of essential electrolytes (minerals like Potassium, Magnesium, etc.) and they are very important to the proper function of your body, especially your heart. Depleted electrolytes can cause heart rythm problems which is EXTREMELY dangerous for any body at any age. So what you want to do is get on a diuretic for short term, like only when you're on gear that causes water and/or sodium retention (some may argue these are one in the same). This should be no longer than 2 months tops IMHO. Also, I think the 40 mg is way overkill. Lasix comes as 20, 40 and 80 mg. Other diuretics like HCT (HydroChloroThiazide have different recommended dosages. But the best way to go is always to start low and work your way up from there -- if needed. If you're going to go with Lasix, I'd try a half of a 20 mg tab first (or 10 mg). For longer term high BP control, try a drug called Avalide. It has no sided that I've ever found...which is unusual for BP med's. Finally, Aspirin, Hawthorne Berry and pain killers WILL DO NOTHING for high BP. I hope this helps you, bro. :)

ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!!!!....it prevents platelet aggregation and thins the blood and helps reopen a clot/blood vessel.

Increased water intake, diuretics, anti-estrogens will help your BP during a cycle. I have also heard of zinc and vitamen C helping to a degree.
