Telling your doctor you use roids...

N O P E

Do the following: Demand blood tests on a regular basis (I do), ask to see the tests and specify the stuff they usually don't test for. Obviously only get your tests done while off and recovered.

Read the test results! They will have a "normal" range for every stat so you don't have to have you doctor analyze each time. If you're doctor asks just tell him you are being proactive with your health - of course he won't like this because most GP's don't give a fuck about preventitive medicine and/or maintenance - who cares, fuck him. My doctor orders up blood tests when I ask now.. I know he doesn't like it but that's too fucking bad.

So, to summarize, You Too Can Be Your Own Doctor!

I think its kind of strange that we seem to be more willing to tell a doc about more typical illegal drug use like cocaine or pain killer abuse than we would tell them about roids. A good doctor would not tell the insurance company. Don't go to a stranger. Make sure you know your doc.

i think that is the main issue...would i tell my doc..hell no!

Dude get a new doc. If he can't tell you juice, he's a retard.:)

I don't know if it's in my personal record. But when I went to emergency or to a clinic they always knew. They asked, do you use steroids? I answered honestly and it was a good thing I did. When you get blood tests done and they see that your liver enzymes are high they will look for other things like hep B so you really should tell them what is going on.

I had a vasectomy last fall while on test and eq. Very bad idea guys. I did not tell the doc I was juicing. Also very bad idea. The bastard cut an artery and the artery would not close off like it was supposed to because of the increased blood volume associated with the eq.

Had to tell a Doc later, though, because it required 5 surgeries over the course of 3 days to stop the bleeding. Lost half the blood in my body, was in the hospital for 2 weeks, have scars all over my sack now, and came very very close to cashing in my chips.

Moral of the story . . . don't tell the doctor anything for checkups, but if they are going to have to crack the skin and get inside you, you had better let them know what is up. They told me later if they knew I was on, they would have waited till I was clean to do the surgery.

On the upside, I have very cool scars down the sides of my sack where they pulled my balls out and laid them on my thighs to get some room to work inside the scrotum. And I swole up to the size of a cantaloupe. Root was swolen to nearly a foot long. Hate to admit it took swelling to get to that length, but it did.

Overall, not a fun experience.

B.

Maybe - If you can find a Doctor you trust and is open to this.. My doc suspects me of course but I will NOT tell him. The blood tests are enough since I know how to read them.

If you don,t have a positive relationship with your doc, get a new one. It is very hard for your insurance company to cancel you over AS. People test positve for substance abuse drugs everyday, cocaine, oc, herb, etc.. If that was the case no one would keep their insurance. By not telling your doctor, you are fucking yourself in the end. If something does happen to you it is much easier for a doctor to contribute the problem to AS use, or something more serious if he has a full medical background.

Correct, they won't cancel an EXISTING policy due to AS use.

However, they may REFUSE to START you on a new policy if you have AS use on your record.

If you work for a large company, and/or are on some type of large "group" plan, this may not be an issue.

But if you are self-employed, a small busines owner or employee, etc. .... then you may have a LOT of trouble getting anyone to cover you without paying a HUGE premium.

Again, I am not necessarily saying to NOT tell your Doc, just that you must be aware of the issues.
